AT LAST...........after (im)patiently waiting for James for months and months to reply, he finally did, and I've dipped deep into the biccie jar ,and paid an outrageous amount for his mint 3/06 LE with 11,400 kms on the clock. It's now home in Adelaide, doing 7.8l/100 ,averaging 101 kph, and is side by side in the stable with the black Cup,which I'm holding $1000 deposit on with Phil, our next Newbie. I'M STOKED!.Now for all the saved up good bits to go on!

And, you've got to tell us, how the fark did you get this one past the missus?????? "Well dear, its like this, the orange ones are faster and hold their value better... "

Look forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Nice work Emu!

That is dedication! Love it! I have also considered selling my Clio in the future and then purchasing one with lower Kms... it is an option!

I'd also like to see pictures of them side-by-side.

Congrats

Finally! Another Clio that stands out like the proverbial for SA drive days. Looks very nice Pete.

Would be good to get a pic of your new one next to mine- a mirror image sort of shot, but with the blue and orange.

When does the black one depart your garage?

 ...........only 11,400KM  .............that must be the rarest and lowest km second hand 182 cup

Rarest, maybe. Lowest Ks? I'm crossing my fingers and not saying any more until I'm sure... (actually I think it's a few more than that, but the first 2 digits are the same). Stupid slow freight from Qld.

Dom, that orange 225 is a ballbreaker!

Nah Dan,keeping her pretty much standard, got the ubeaut exhaust on already, will gradually fit my waiting DS2500's, braideds, intake, seat harness etc

Might have a look at a couple of handling bits, adjustable rear bar etc.............decided not to run with the camber pins, as you can only get about another 1/2 degree, and Steve thinks that's a waste of time

I don't intend doing any track work, just a few Hillclimbs which are very easy on your car (and me, the hammer and tack's not good)

and Ravi, I think Phil's picking up the pearl black on Wed.........that's a bloody good car bought cheap, goes a lot harder than the orange, I guess due partly to the very low mileage, and the piddly way the orange has been driven, computer memory and all that..........soon to be fixed with some spirited driving!! ho ho

It had "F1 CUP" personalised plates and obviously isn't one!!!

It was for sale around 4 months ago roughly- there is a thread on it somewhere. The price was ridiculously high back then too.

Yes indeed, I paid less for mine brand new, 6 months ago

I was offered a new one for a lot lot less 1.5 years ago! What is this bloke thinking?

He really believes his own Press, doesn't he, .........putting the price up even further............maybe if he doesn't drive it anymore, and keeps it for another 20 years, he might get his price, .............yes it's the same vehicle and bloke again, different plates, and no, it definitely isn't an F1, he was taken for a ride if you believe his story

I guess you never know, there might be some lunatic out there with more gazump than grey, ..............chances would be better in Sydney

Yeah hey if you wanna get a really low k example and money means absolutely nothing at all to you then yeah ... but seriously the RSC is not a car for buying and putting in a agarage only to be taken out washed and returned ... its a car for driving goddammit!

p><p>Hi guys, ....you asked for a pic of a bloke who has two Cups,.........well here

Anyhow, the fun of two only lasted for a week, ...the good news is that Phil and Joanne took delivery of the Black last night, so I'm looking out for them in Newbies at any moment

Good news on the Orange , she's now got a ripper of an exhaust fitted now, and is looking forward to carving them up at the Hillclimb this Sunday

Cheers Pete and Lachlan

Don't really know yet, Gambit, the standard Cup is quicker up the hill than the modified 172, so I might pass on the Unichip

Unless of course some real competition rolls up.............then................maybe

It was raining in Melbourne when I bought the Orange ,and the weather here has been absolutely filthy since I bought it home, so after the Hillclimb Sunday, I finally got a clear day today to wash the car, and guess what,..... it's vitually unmarked ! I am absolutely stoked, it's just like a brand new car..............there's the tiniest dimple near the drivers doorhandle, you need a microscope to find it.........and the tiniest stonechip leading edge of the bonnet which I could have done driving it home, ........well done James, you looked after it superbly. I'm in love!

Well done mate, it's an absolute corker.

I wouldn't write off the camber pins so easy. I got another -1.5 and could have got more out of my pins from Pedders.

Took the old red car for one last drive before I exchanged on sunday and the camber pins really make a significant difference IMHO.

Anyway....all the best mate.

PS I still need to talk to you about that exhaust mod....... I'll PM you.
