TMD Posted 4, May 2013 Report Share Posted 4, May 2013 Hi Everyone, I'm a Noob here, Peter from Melbourne. Recently got a 2005 FRB 182cup. Past Rides: 2005 Corolla Sportivo (2ZZGE Engine), 2007 Polo Gti Revo Tune, 2008 Mazda 2 Genki. 2005 Mx5 SE. Of course, the Cup kills all those hatches! Now I can do mountain runs, without fear of cambelt breakage- I will post IMHO review next month. Cheers, Peter.

R182 Posted 4, May 2013 Report Share Posted 4, May 2013 Now I can do mountain runs, without fear of cambelt breakage ... Is this a reference to the belt being recently done ... because they are petty critical in this particular car too. kaesh Posted 6, May 2013 Report Share Posted 6, May 2013 Welcome TMD. I've developed a soft spot for the 182s despite owning a 250. Congratulations on your purchase
TMD Posted 6, May 2013 Author Report Share Posted 6, May 2013 Thanks kaesh, and everyone, Lots of great info on the forum. I have the feeling the 182 might be the last of the old school hatches.. it's only a tiny bit bigger than my Daihatsu Sirion, and the 280% extra kilowatts is really handy lol
Matt205 Posted 6, May 2013 Report Share Posted 6, May 2013 it's only a tiny bit bigger than my Daihatsu Sirion Ahh, that was you, I'd wondered who'd bought it.

Cheers, WOLF ps: more pics please (as opposed to the Carsales ones) Thanks Wolf, I'm amazed at the condition....Even My Sister yelled at me for buying a Brand New Car, you should have seen her face when I told her it was a 2005! Cambelt/Fluids/Tyres all done last month, currently giving the engine a few 'Hot Cycles'. This one is not even fully run-in, evidenced by a beer coloured cat and exhaust manifold. Exhaust mani is now blue, and the cat is half cooked= I think I need a decent Mountain Run soon. Will try to post pics this week.
