dixie1 Posted 4, May 2011 Report Share Posted 4, May 2011 Hello,I'm from Belgium and my passion are cars,I want to do a lot of trackdays and that's why I bought a Megane 250RS cup,I've had a lot of fast cars (Honda NSX, Porsche carrera 2,Porsche 996 turbo) but I never had a car that was so much fun to drive like the Megane 250RS.Most of my time I want to spend at the Nurburgring but I still have to learn the track, not so easy because it has more than 70 turns. rmadrid-182 Posted 4, May 2011 Report Share Posted 4, May 2011 hi dixie1, welcome to the forum. nice choice of drive, current and past, you got there! that's great the meg250 can match ownership pleasure with those other exotics. to drive nurburgring is only a dream at the moment for me, have to wait till I get holidays in Europe. MJH Posted 4, May 2011 Report Share Posted 4, May 2011 G'day and welcome to the forum Dixie. Very nice car - that's exactly the colour combination I'd like. Photos of your car have already had some exposure here on this forum.... Your car is obviously lowered. What suspension do you have fitted? MJH Posted 4, May 2011 Report Share Posted 4, May 2011 Ignore my question about your suspension Dixie - I just found the info in another thread...
Wolf Posted 5, May 2011 Report Share Posted 5, May 2011 Hi Dixie, Welcome aboard. Actually, id like to know the answer to that question - what suspension? Cannot really put in words just how brilliant your car looks... black, black with black. Perfect. Cheers, WOLF ps: nice glimpse of what's following... catching you or did you take him? Heheh. Lowered with KW variant 3 Nurburgring is a very difficult track with more than 70 turns,I still have to learn the track and the guy behind me knew it very well so I had to let him go
MJH Posted 5, May 2011 Report Share Posted 5, May 2011 Just out of interest Dixie, what lap time did you do at the 'Ring (noting that you're still learning the track)? It would also be interesting to hear your thoughts on how the RS250 compares to the other nice cars you've owned (NSX and Porsches)... It would also be interesting to hear your thoughts on how the RS250 compares to the other nice cars you've owned (NSX and Porsches)... I did it according the RS laptimer in 9min25 sec but if you know the track it can be done around 8 min with the Megane. The NSX was a great car,had it for 4 years without any problems ,I even installed Nos in it but I wanted something faster that's why I bought the Porsche 996 turbo and modded it untill it had 570 horse power and 785nm torque, car was extremely fast but didn't really enjoy driving it,didn't feel like a real sportscar, the Renault is so much fun to drive even if it has less power but it feels like a little race car to me,handling is so great and more fun to drive on the track like the Porsche. I also have an Opel GT which is fun to drive but handling is not so good but I like it because it feels like a go-cart ,this baby also has 320hp and 460nm of torque and is pretty fast.My daily car is an Alfa romeo GT . My NSX My Porsche And the Opel Gt which I still own
MJH Posted 5, May 2011 Report Share Posted 5, May 2011 I'm envious to say the least Dixie... We don't get the Opel GT here, so I don''t know much about it, but it looks great. Your black RS250 still looks the best though.

Apex Posted 6, May 2011 Report Share Posted 6, May 2011 Foo that Opel is hot! Same as a Pontiac Solstice underneath and only built in LHD from what I remember. NSX would have been fun. Its nice to hear the Megane is held in such high regards.
Wolf Posted 6, May 2011 Report Share Posted 6, May 2011 Agree with Apex. BIG kudos for the RS designers then. Notice you'll be getting the same or similar rims to your Porsche for your RSM. Nice. Pics when you put them on please. Cheers, WOLF
