Hi Robbo welcome to OZRenaultsport.

A 2001 model with only 44,500 km? then by the time alone the car is due to have the timing belt changed.

If your getting it changed for free then thats excellent.

Pretty unusual to have a Clio that age with so little mileage.

cheers,

Moosey, have you changed yours yet? If so where'd you do it? My car is obviously no longer under warranty, so I'll be going to a smaller french car specialist, I've heard it can be alot less expensive than going through a Renault dealer. I have to get mine changed sometime in the next few months. bugger.

No, I'm trying not to think about it... don't really fancy the expense but know that failing to do the job could be much worse. My car has done 84K, btw.

  • 2 weeks later...

My series 1 must be the most serviced / least mileage example.

5 years old in July.

17,800kms (nearly)

I suppose it needs a new timing belt because of the time, certainly not the distance.

Original battery blew last week.

Where is the best place for the timing 100K service?

At the rate I'm going it will another 20 years before I get to 100kms......
