biologist Posted 24, April 2006 Report Posted 24, April 2006 Hi Robbo welcome to OZRenaultsport. A 2001 model with only 44,500 km? then by the time alone the car is due to have the timing belt changed. If your getting it changed for free then thats excellent. Pretty unusual to have a Clio that age with so little mileage. cheers, Quote

Robbo, do you have one of the 01 Ltd Edn cars? Old shape? Moosey, have you changed yours yet? If so where'd you do it? My car is obviously no longer under warranty, so I'll be going to a smaller french car specialist, I've heard it can be alot less expensive than going through a Renault dealer. I have to get mine changed sometime in the next few months. bugger. Quote
HASH Posted 26, April 2006 Report Posted 26, April 2006 my 60k service , had a hand written note saying "all belts changed". so would that mean the timing belt had been changed. Quote
MR PEA Posted 26, April 2006 Report Posted 26, April 2006 not really as it would specificly say TIMEING Belt changed ect.... its a $50 job vs a 500-1000 job. Quote

Aitch Posted 9, May 2006 Report Posted 9, May 2006 My series 1 must be the most serviced / least mileage example. 5 years old in July. 17,800kms (nearly) I suppose it needs a new timing belt because of the time, certainly not the distance. Original battery blew last week. Where is the best place for the timing 100K service? At the rate I'm going it will another 20 years before I get to 100kms...... Quote
