fleets24 Posted 12, September 2011 Report Share Posted 12, September 2011 I picked up my new black RS250 Cup on Thursday from Henley in Osborne Park. They were fantastic. I spent the entire weekend in the car. Well I got out to deficate and to replenish. I had so many looks down in Cottesloe. I don't know what's better, the handling or when the turbo kicks in. I'm a total novice but want to learn as much as I can about her. Any advice or tips re: part upgrades will be welcome. The only thing I don't like - the speakers - anyone replaced theirs? Thanks
Azz Posted 12, September 2011 Report Share Posted 12, September 2011 Congrats mate! Everyone here loves pics so post some up The general consensus is that RS's are very well sorted from factory, so I wouldn't worry about modding it, just enjoy! Check out the ICE section of the forum (viewforum.php?f=15) to see many examples of 250 audio upgrades.

Will be taking more photos this coming weekend, heading on a road trip down south Thanks for the advice on the parts. Thinking the same. RBH58 Posted 12, September 2011 Report Share Posted 12, September 2011 Need to tint the front side windows to pull off the complete black-on-black-on-black thing. Then it would look very cool. Don't envy you keeping it clean though!
foxleg Posted 12, September 2011 Report Share Posted 12, September 2011 Congrats on your choice... Looks like mine... except cleaner...
steel2heal Posted 12, September 2011 Report Share Posted 12, September 2011 Looks great! Love the black 18" rims against black body. Red brembos set the whole thing off. Those rims were made for the black paint job. Good luck with it mate. It's a great car and you'll love it.

fleets24 Posted 13, September 2011 Author Report Share Posted 13, September 2011 Thanks for the comments guys, really looking forward to pushing this baby. I'm contacting the dealer as we speak about tinting, as he said it had been done. Who would have thought a car dealer would rip you off? It's a minor issue though, it will be sorted soon. fleets24 Posted 13, September 2011 Author Report Share Posted 13, September 2011 While I have everyone creaming over her, where should I go for tinting? Two guys at work recommended where NOT to go, but they both said the forum will be best for advice specific for Renault's... help!
fleets24 Posted 13, September 2011 Author Report Share Posted 13, September 2011 and what the hell is with the stereo? Who has changed theirs? How much and where did you go? I'm scared sh*tless that I will go to some amateur who has never seen a Renault before, let alone worked on one, and completely stuffed it! Arrow29 Posted 13, September 2011 Report Share Posted 13, September 2011 Great looking car man, I'm sure you're enjoying it! I saw your car at Henley a couple of weeks back when I was test driving, looked mean in the flesh! I wasn't ready to take delivery yet so ordered a white one for early next year delivery. Glad to see it found a home so soon.
fleets24 Posted 14, September 2011 Author Report Share Posted 14, September 2011 Thanks Arrow, I was originally went in for the Monaco, but when I saw the black one I had to have it. Why so long a wait for yours?
Arrow29 Posted 14, September 2011 Report Share Posted 14, September 2011 I put in a factory order for mine, white cup with xenons. I wasn't ready to take delivery until early next year anyway for various reasons and was told for factory orders there is a 4-5 month wait, so put the order in now to know I'll have it when I wanted
fleets24 Posted 14, September 2011 Author Report Share Posted 14, September 2011 Fair call... mine was mostly an impulse buy... I read up about it for a few days, walked into the dealership, took it for a test, bought it. I couldn't wait 4-5 months, but having xenons and leather on the cup would be sweet. Nothing to take away from the current one I have, she's f**king beautiful!
Apex Posted 14, September 2011 Report Share Posted 14, September 2011 Welcome. Black on black looks great. I can relate to driving it all weekend, I think I did over 1000km the first weekend.

Two guys at work recommended where NOT to go, but they both said the forum will be best for advice specific for Renault's... help! Tko tinting have done all my car and will be doing my Renault too. Always have done a good job and don't stress about doing decent (read less than 35%) tints. They're online too if you want contact details
BG5WRC Posted 29, September 2011 Report Share Posted 29, September 2011 Car looks great. I have heard of Tko previously, haven't used them myself. For stereo stuff in Perth Michael Macey is an install guru for fabrication. I think he works for Westside Sound and Image now a-days, I think in the Cannington store. He may not do the standard install work, but anywhere that he works I would recommend.
