Purchasing 2013 Clio RS200 IV

Hey guys, looking at getting this Clio Rs MK4 tomorrow, it’s a 2013, only 44xxx on the clock, full log book, owned by an elder person. In immaculate condition, looks brand new.
They’re chasing 17k for it.
I understand in this current market everyone is throwing a higher number on their cars, I’m just trying to figure out what would be a decent price on something of that description? My budget was only $15,500

I’m eager to join the Clio world!
Thanks Kindly!

IMO around the 14.5-15ish mark I think would be a good price to get it for considering that it is a 2013 model. Further it has the basic sport chassis and assuming no extra's (i.e Sport Premium). Granted it does have quite low KM's but 2013 is close to a 9 year old car. Market seems to think more however if you're willing to pay 17 there a quite few examples with cup chassis and later model years for around that price.

Don't forget that the sports suspension is soooo comfy, with decent handling. In the end it was too soft for me, but brilliant as a daily.

As for price you just need to offer what you have, as long as you're genuine, and risk offending the seller, or getting the car for your price.

Don't forget a PPI

same money but better spec which covers for the difference in K’s, though there’s a black one on Facebook with 170000km at $10K which would make the best buy in Brissy

A PPSR

Yeah I showed my partner the black one but she really wasn’t to keen on the k’s as she does around 30-40xxxx a year and didn’t want a car with 200+K’s by next year, I’ll look into the white one though!

First one being quite the bargain given a 2016 model and more than $1k less than what you're looking at. Granted these are both outside of QLD so if you can organise transport they could be worth it.

If she’s doing that many K’s the resale value will be buggered on a low k’ed car when she adds 150,000 to 200,000 K’s in the next five years. So the black one at $7K less would seem a good option considering it may still be worth around $10K in five years at 350,000km + and any other car she gets now that’s around 300,000 in five years time would be about the same price anyway

Oh good to know! Yeah it’ll just be the partners daily and I know for sure I’ll probably end up driving it a lot as they look like a tonne of fun.
what is a PPI btw??

Pre purchase inspection, preferably by a Renault or French car specialist.

As this has a Nissan engine you might be ok with a Nissan specialist too.
