  1. Beautiful! Tassie roads are just epic. Did you happen upon a bunch of Porsche + Lotus while you were there? We just had 4 days in the Vic alps with a few fun cars and it was just awesome.
  2. Welcome and congrats! Which engine mounts did the PO install? I can recommend a Clio 3 (197/200) steering wheels and a nice set of OZ or Speedline 16s Enjoy!
  3. Welcome and congrats on buying a great example! Wheels - Turinis are 16s, 2118s are 15s. I prefer 16s but each to their own. The issue with RPF1s (from memory) is rear caliper clearance, not front. But I have seen 16" RPF1s fitted to Clios in the past. Enjoy the new beast 😀
  4. Welcome mate! Your plans sounds good and I agree, give yourself a few weeks in the car to get used to the handling. I haven't done much to mine, but the brakes have the usual pads, line and fluid (as has every car I've ever owned). I've also fitted AST springs to new OEM dampers and I'm pretty happy with it (good for a 1:52.0 at SMSP on road Bridgestone tyres). There's a thread on here somewhere that outlines a how-to-guide to build a replica ITG intake for around $150 + install. Only catch is, with the parts you buy you can make 2 intakes, so find a friend and you're good to go! Enjoy the new car and be sure to post pics when it arrives. Alex

    Hi everyone

Welcome Jack! As you're new to ownership, and your car may have been de-badged, we'll forgive you, but it's spelt 'Megane' Please post pics ASAP!
  6. Welcome mate and what a nice story. I would complete the mods you've listed for now and then practice, practice, practice. Get the car to a point that it's reliable with the uprated parts and then learn to to drive the thing. Once you can't go any faster with that set up, I would look at: - high quality coil overs (AST, MCA etc) and accompanying suspension set up/alignment - more powah (ECU tune and exhaust) - half-cage with appropriate race seat and harness I race in Production Touring and most of the cars are very fast, even with the limited mods we're allowed, with the money being spent on safety gear, suspension and brakes predominantly. Enjoy the journey and keep us updated!
  7. Welcome! A good service, upgraded brakes (simply discs, pads, lines and fluid), decent tyres and some weight reduction are all you need! Enjoy
  8. As Matt said, I replacement pedal (potentiometer) should fix this - it did mine, when Matt gave me his spare pedal (ps. I have still have your replacement spare to hand over @Matt205)
  9. Welcome Alek - looking forward to your progress with the Clio! With the water ingress, try the scuttle drains under the wiper area and also check the window seals around the rear 3/4 glass.
  10. Took this for a spin yesterday with @PBerm - great purchase! It's in beautiful condition, sounds great and looks great on the Oz Alleggeritas. Love it!
  11. Glad to hear you're enjoying it! Keep us updated with photos, please! Just a word of caution on the rear muffler replacement. Make sure you go for a quality item that actual 'muffles' the noise a bit. My car came with (fitted by PO) a very cheap (think I saw a receipt for ~$150) rear muffler fitted to the stock exhaust with centre-res delete and it was drone city. I was lucky to find a stock rear muffler to refit and it was muuuuch more pleasant to the ear.
  12. That's not an 8:08. Just has the wheels! Looks like a base 265 Trophy: - no xenons - no leather interior (has the 265 part-leather Recaros) - no stickers (guess they could've been removed) - looks to be Glacier White (8:08s were Pearl White) - no plaque at the base of the dash under the Start button
  13. Welcome mate, and great choices! The only suspension difference between all the RS Megane 3 Cup models is the Trophy R, with it's Ohlins set up. The 265 8:08 and 275 Cup Premium should have no difference in suspension. Good luck with the hunt!
  14. Yep, from all accounts as low as you'd want to go with the offset at 8.5" wide
