If I type out some stuff I would like to post up in word (where I can also spell check it..... ) why do I lose all my formatting when I cut and past it into the forum window.

PS - I am talking more about tabs and layout.....I also notice colours etc dont come through....

They speak different languages mate

 

The forum uses [i] to start italics - then [/i] to stop them, for example

 

where word uses its own system.

The forum uses hybrid html tags for formatting, I would use spell check in word with the raw text then format everything here.

 

If you learn the formatting tags it can make it easier, but everything is available up the top of the post window

Alternatively if you are using Firefox, there is a spell checker plug in, so it checks your spelling right here

Yep I was about to suggest this... I use that feature all the time.
