And the car report said the clutch's pick up point is too high Is it normal for clio? How much for changing an oringal clutch? Anyway, its gald to be here as i had been struggling for buying a clio

Most guys will state here that the 172 clutch "bites" too high. IMO that's normal. Price for that, someone will post a price for you. Make sure she warmed up before you take her to the red line... Safe driving, we want to read the first post. Not something else

Qubic Posted 2, May 2007 Report Share Posted 2, May 2007 Well done KFC, and welcome to the forum! Don't change the clutch, you'll get used to it pretty quick, and it's totally normal. Save your $$. Definitely get the belt changed. Sounds like you guys in Sydney have pretty good prices for that service. Here in SA, around $1K is average, and there have been reports of way more than that at our only Renault dealer!!

Yep thats how much i paid, the owner Colin said that the guy who does the timing belts on the renault's has done so many now he can do them in about 3 hours so thats the main reason he can charge that cost.
