pptom Posted 3, April 2007 Report Share Posted 3, April 2007 I'm Tom, Black/Gold 182 owner from the UK. Love the site, its always good to hear other peoples views / expiriences. About the car: just had the ECU re-mapped today and its going like sh*t off a shovel! other mods are de-cat pipe, one of Angelworks CNC inlet manifolds, Acoustic valve removed and a ITG panel filter. Also just fitted some Trophy Turinis, best wheels in the world for a clio - sexual!

pptom Posted 4, April 2007 Author Report Share Posted 4, April 2007 Remap came from Paul Murray at RSTuning, I can really recommend him, as do most people on Cliosport.net. He's on there reguarly, username pmurray. He starts with a generic map (similar to a GrpN) and then tweaks with it according to any modifications on your car. Its not done on a rolling road but he has done a car with similar spec and it gained 14Bhp and 20ftlb of torque. Mine feels like its gained that easily. As for some pics, will take some today.. Danny Posted 4, April 2007 Report Share Posted 4, April 2007 Ohhh Turini's! I so Want them for my car! I will get them in future I just know it! Welcome to the forums, lets see some pics of the car!
pptom Posted 4, April 2007 Author Report Share Posted 4, April 2007 well, the cars a bit dirty and the wheels are shiny as hell but you get the idea!! Actually it looks a little high in the pics, may consider lowering it slightly in the future.
racingroo_new Posted 4, April 2007 Report Share Posted 4, April 2007 Wow! Welcome to the forum. Your car looks awesome.
Dish Posted 5, April 2007 Report Share Posted 5, April 2007 That looks awesome Tom... very stealth Now I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally wanna get some grey Turinis for our black 172. I do like the Cup spoiler pack on yours too. Don't think you really need to lower it, it may just be an optical illusion because of the angle of the front wheels showing the wheel wells. Take a profile shot with the wheels pointing straight and post it up - we'll give you our opinions then! Welcome aboard!
The Jeffster Posted 5, April 2007 Report Share Posted 5, April 2007 welcome!! pics pics pics! i cant remember seeing a black 182 with turinis?!?! I belive Storms of fate has them mate Welcome to the forum, do you think that if Paul Murry knew what you had on the car he could tweak it from experince and what did it cost to get done? We were trying to get a gernic GrpN here but that went horribly pear shape.

pptom Posted 5, April 2007 Author Report Share Posted 5, April 2007 Paul specialises in clio's and meganes (his own megane is around 300Bhp), he's done lots of maps with lots of differently modified cars and he uses this expirience / previous maps when he does the re-map. I paid £275, so it was cheaper than a 'GrpN' which as you probably know is just a generic map and doesn't take into account any mods. Get in touch with paul, he's a nice guy and will probably be happy to answer any questions - http://www.rstuning.co.uk/ As for the tints, I'm not convinced, don't want to look like a pimp!! Qubic Posted 6, April 2007 Report Share Posted 6, April 2007 Emu, you're an evil old bastard Welcome aboard Tom. Great looking car! Looks like you live in a lovely spot too. Some nice countryside in the background there, and a very English-looking timber shed! Nice.

That $662 at today's rate, that's pretty good if you include shipping. Might be something to look at if my liscencse is gone for three months. Pual V was trying to get the grpN remap, out here but got stung on some money so there is a word of caution to be had. I will be posting in that thread in a bit. But if you and the other guys on cliosport vouch for him it cold be a viable solution, it's good to see that they have 197 remaps coming out so quick to. The Jeffster Posted 6, April 2007 Report Share Posted 6, April 2007 That's to funny Lost Beaten Wolloped, like your sense of humor. Being a American and having a 6 year old Son and having to practice cricket with him, I get no amount of sledging from my own boy. "Dad, your a chucker!" pptom Posted 7, April 2007 Author Report Share Posted 7, April 2007 England could play 'ugly' cicket if all they wanted to do was win all the time, but they choose to play in a classy, smooth style to demonstrate to the world what real, noble cricket is all about. Its the pure game they stick to rather than the Aussies win win win approach. Its not all about winning you know. By the way, found this video of the Aussie cricket team in training http://www.ifilm.com/video/2832493
emu Posted 7, April 2007 Report Share Posted 7, April 2007 OK pptom,........honestly we're all quite sad about the Old Dart's cricket But you seem to be a good bloke,............. so, we will accept you as a migrant if you can pass the 100 point test 20 points if you can prove that at least one family member has served time in one of Her Majesty's Jails 20 points if you can prove that at least one of your siblings is your big brother's kid 20 points if you can't spell abracadabra 20 points if you can tell us how many horizontal bars in an EH holden's grille, and 20 points if you can eat 4 pies and drink 4 Fosters pints in 4 minutes Go for it pptom!
