Gaifan Posted 30, August 2021 Report Share Posted 30, August 2021 Hi all, I'm new to this forum, so not sure whether this is the right section to post on, or whether this question had been asked. Can someone please recommend a few good service centres here in Western Australia, preferably near Perth? I don't mind going a bit far away from the CBD if the pricing is better

Gaifan Posted 30, August 2021 Author Report Share Posted 30, August 2021 I haven't bought one yet. Looking at this one here: https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2013-renault-megane-r-s-265-trophy-manual/SSE-AD-7305663/?Cr=11 Is the price decent? Low Ks, top condition from initial inspection (haven't gone through by a mechanic yet). Weird thing is everything about it spells Trophy to me, but the VIN states it's a CUP. It has Recaro bucket seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, R.S. Red Design Pack, Smart Card Key (hands-free entry), Tyre Pressure Monitor, Yellow Seatbelt, Renault Sport logo. Moosey Posted 30, August 2021 Report Share Posted 30, August 2021 Welcome, @Gaifan .. there's a section of the forum that covers servicing. Might be worth a search in here https://www.ozrenaultsport.com/forum/11-dealers-amp-renault-specialist-garages/
oscargamer Posted 30, August 2021 Report Share Posted 30, August 2021 At that age you want to see receipts for when the belts were changed, ancillary/accessory and timing. Personally I don't like cars that are being sold very quickly after being bought.... Maybe I'm just suspicious, but it raises an alarm to me
Gaifan Posted 31, August 2021 Author Report Share Posted 31, August 2021 (edited) That's a good point. I will have a proper mechanic to go through the car and see if there's any red flags. How much are we looking at to replace the belts? Edited 31, August 2021 by Gaifan
Xrsism Posted 1, September 2021 Report Share Posted 1, September 2021 Took mine to Steve at WA Euro. Cam belt and all the other bits that go with, was $1200 from memory.
