targhe Posted 16, April 2020 Report Share Posted 16, April 2020 Hi guys Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Does anyone know if the Clio 5 will make it to Australia and if so, is there a time-frame? There is nothing on the Renault Australia homepage. Happy Clio RS 4 driver. Vinnie Posted 16, April 2020 Report Share Posted 16, April 2020 Most recent launch date I've seen for the new Clio in Aus is late half of this year, but that was before COVID-19: https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial/details/new-renault-clio-and-captur-line-ups-will-be-simple-121825/. As Deet said, sadly no RS in the new lineup at this stage: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/renault/zoe/108126/new-hot-renault-zoe-rs-electric-car-to-replace-clio-rs. Moosey Posted 29, April 2020 Report Share Posted 29, April 2020 There is no money in small Euro cars for local OEM's. Exchange rates, import tariffs and freight costs make them virtually impossible to sell profitably vs asian competition. Unless some of these impedements change for the better, I wouldn't be holding your breath for Clio 5 in Australia.
