Glaze88 Posted 30, July 2017 Report Share Posted 30, July 2017 Hi Guys, Just introducing myself as I purchased a 2011 Megane RS 250 Cup Trophee with 70,000kms on it from a Peugot dealer in Cheltenham on Friday. I have had a variety of performance cars in this past but this is my 1st foray into a Renault. Must say, I have loved driving the car the past few days. Look forward to reading through the forums for best tips/advice on keeping my RS in top condition. I would be interested to know what type of exhaust upgrades there are and what impact they have on performance/exhaust note. I would also be looking for any recommendations on best place to service the RS? I am based out near Cranbourne and work in the Cheltenham area. I hear there is going to be a new Renault opening in Frankston in the next few weeks, so that could be a good option. Thanks in advance! cairnsy Posted 30, July 2017 Report Share Posted 30, July 2017 Welcome! There are knowledgeable people here to help with enquiries you may have. A number of which are covered in the Meg III Technical section. Exhaust options are from Akrapovic ($3000 +, may be some gains hp wise) to a 'mid-box' chop ($80-$150 mainly to improve sound). Those with experience will be able to comment further, although it is covered extensively in the technical section. Main thing is to get out and enjoy the drive and do a track day so you can explore the limits in a relatively safe environment. Enjoy

chuckovski Posted 31, July 2017 Report Share Posted 31, July 2017 Hey I thought I replied to this, if I did and it isn't showing up then please ignore! Welcome, Glad you've joined the Megane crew! I'm not a melbournian but many rave about Virage automotive. I think it's closer to the city than you but it's probably worth the trip. Dealers struggle to even put the right amount of oil in (it's 5.5 not 6L!). Though you may get lucky... As Cairnsy said, enjoy! Track days are great to really appreciate how great these cars are. mmh Posted 31, July 2017 Report Share Posted 31, July 2017 I replied too but the post seems to have vanished - Alpine Affair also get a good write up and are based in Ringwood - about half an hour drive from Cranbourne
