SideshowLukePerry Posted 21, September 2016 Report Posted 21, September 2016 I'm in the market for a 197 or 200 RS Clio and just found this one on Gumtree http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/salisbury/cars-vans-utes/2010-renault-clio-hatchback/1121473753 Quote
Moosey Posted 21, September 2016 Report Posted 21, September 2016 Has been for sale for quite a while. This and the very low mileage rings alarm bells. Not sure if any of the SA guys have had a look at it. Quote
apple3337 Posted 21, September 2016 Report Posted 21, September 2016 Where can he take the car to be checked out? Any independent RS specialists in Adelaide? Quote
Mase Posted 22, September 2016 Report Posted 22, September 2016 Yes I have one. Pm md for details. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote

apple3337 Posted 25, September 2016 Report Posted 25, September 2016 My dodgy memory tells me there could have been a Gordini with rear end damage. I'd be checking for accident history for sure. Hope it's OK though. Quote
Vardymr2 Posted 16, November 2016 Report Posted 16, November 2016 So, does anyone know if there is anything dodgy with the car? Quote
sammi_jm Posted 16, November 2016 Report Posted 16, November 2016 Yes! It had a front end collision and was a repairable write off.The front bar, bonnet, headlights have all been replaced.Do not touch it IMO!!! Quote
R182 Posted 16, November 2016 Report Posted 16, November 2016 People get so wound up about this stuff. If it had a checkered past but was repaired properly there's no reason someone shouldn't continue to love it. Go in with your eyes open... but don't immediately disguard it. Quote

Absolutely agree, as long as there is photos of the damage and the full details of what has happened and been repaired. I contacted the owner of this one and she refused to tell me what really happened in the accident and used words like "but it looks brand new" and "it only had the front bar replaced". Yep cya bye. Yeah, I think it's ok to omit the detail from the public advert in the first instance but it should be disclosed pretty promptly upon real interest. Edited 16, November 2016 by R182 1 Quote
