Yes mate this has been happening to me ever since i got the car. I find it usually does this when you accidently downshift into the wrong gear resulting in the gearbox having a little fit and protecting itself by torque limiting. Boost won't come back until the engine cools down and resets overnight, then drive it in normal mode and the boost should come back. Insanely annoying but I think this could potentially be tuned out by removing the gearbox protection limits.

That's interesting. I'm wondering if there's a failing sensor or something because when it happened to me while I was driving, it started behaving itself after a while while still driving. But with it automatically downshifting in manual mode when you put your foot down is weird. I always drive in manual mode and this coincidently started happening at the same time as the power loss issue.

There is something amiss there in my view. These EDC  trannies have their quirks but I have not heard of that one or a loss of torque in any gear actually. Sadly I think a visit to a Renault specialist is in order. 🤔

As mentioned previously the only 'normal' behaviour is for them to get confused as to which gear to select or even momentarily lose all gears when accelerating hard from slow or in the middle of a roundabout etc. which is common to all dual clutch trannies regardless of vehicle to my knowledge.

You should have full gear control in Race mode but not sure about Sport manual mode though if that is what is being referred to regarding system override. I was under the impression it could be overridden if the trannie wasn't 'happy' or if you forget to change up or down in Sport manual mode.

If no fault codes are being thrown, chances are they won't be able to provide solution. Been to renotech multiple times who basically were scratching their heads as it's more a software issue than hardware. Miles recommended to reach out to Paul in the UK and see if it has happened at all over there or if its possible to tune it out. At this point, I think there is no "normal behaviour" per se of an EDC gearbox. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the gearbox however it can drive me crazy at other times.

When driving, my recommendation is as mentioned by many people to drive how you would drive a manual car. Shift at the proper times and downshift at the proper times too. Don't down shift to 1st gear when coming into the lights and don't ride the clutch.

Let me know if you ever manage to sort the issue. Hopefully will get a tune soon so I'll see if I can do something to change how the gearbox protects itself/reacts.
