ataraxia Posted 4, May 2015 Report Share Posted 4, May 2015 (edited) Hi everyone, Been lurking here for info before I made the purchase. I am taking delivery of a yellow 265 cup premium and I cant wait. Any tips for a new manual driver? When I took the test drive I felt bonded to the transmission. Unlike any manual I have ever tried. My first plans for the car is replace the head unit, and remove the center resonator at some point. Also what is the brake in period for this car? Thanks guys! No152 Posted 4, May 2015 Report Share Posted 4, May 2015 Welcome to the forum and very nice choice! Recommendation is varied driving without wringing its neck for first 1000 km plus careful braking especially first 500km. Most important really is to not let it sit long periods at same speeds such as a long freeway or highway drive. As for new manual driver only one word - practice! Thankfully that is the enjoyable bit as you will love every minute behind the wheel. Look forward to seeing photos and hearing reports on your impressions of the car as the two of you learn eachother

apple3337 Posted 12, May 2015 Report Share Posted 12, May 2015 Read "How To Drive" by Ben Collins (aka The Stig). Every driver should read this book.
