eraser215 Posted 10, August 2011 Report Share Posted 10, August 2011 Hi all, As we all know, the forum is full of awesome information, but sometimes it can be hard to find. A key limitation i have found is that you can't search for words with 3 letters or less. This precludes us from looking for commonly used words and acronyms, like ITB FRB ESP oil cam etc. etc. Is there any possibility to add functionality for 3 letter searches to the forum? It would make the search functionality much more powerful!

Bremund Posted 11, August 2011 Report Share Posted 11, August 2011 Should add that I also deleted and then recreated the search database. So anybody searching last night wouldn't of had the best results. Search should be a lot better overall.
eraser215 Posted 11, August 2011 Author Report Share Posted 11, August 2011 Hi Bremund, That's an awesome and super fast response. I was a little worried that i'd get a response saying that enabling 3 letter searches would have blown out the size or killed the performance of the search database, but clearly i am wrong. Thanks very much!
Bremund Posted 11, August 2011 Report Share Posted 11, August 2011 No worries. Just shows that it never hurts to ask the questions
nisch Posted 12, August 2011 Report Share Posted 12, August 2011 And it works! Top stuff! I was actually missing this functionality, too.
Azz Posted 18, August 2011 Report Share Posted 18, August 2011 Thanks for changing this - I remember trying to get creative with my searches due to the 3 letter limit!
