I've been scratchin' me noggen trying to work out why I can't upload an avatar from my PC (XP Pro with ADSL connection - possibly with a modem-based firewall). Once I have met the required parameters (80x80 pixels max, less than 6kb) it still refuses to display the file.

The other curiosity is that Josh's pic measures more than the max 80x80 size! His is 129pixels wide by 80 high. How's that work???

Stumped, Dish.

Why did you have to go and dob on me

Yeah I discovered it would let me use a larger image so use a larger one I did ! :)

XP has a built in firewall but that doesnt stop me. I also have ZoneAlarm and that isnt a prob either. So no help there from me. You could just upload it to a free avatar hosting site and link to it.

eg. http://www.avatarity.com/

Takes a few seconds.
