Dr Gonzo,

 

Once you log in then close the browser (cookie session) you will lose the flags, so it could have been that.

 

It drives me nuts when I'm at work and have to close the window in the middle of reading the new posts, but our setup is better than some other forums where you click on one thread and you lose all the flags!
