Aib668 Posted 15, November 2019 Report Share Posted 15, November 2019 Ok, I'm new to this french thing, but the old school teaching makes me ask. Is a bov worth fitting over the recirculation system? I can see an efficiency gain, but is it worth the $400+? Not looking for brutal ponies, but would like a better ride. Feedback from those who fitted the KTR kit much appreciated. Faeros Posted 15, November 2019 Report Share Posted 15, November 2019 In a huge custom turbo set up or a particularly bad OEM recirculation setup a BOV is good for holding boost. On the flip side the OEM valve in a 225 is perfectly fine for 400hp. On the further flip side if you do fit an aftermarket BOV you will need to have the car tuned because the spring rates do not match. TLDR - Install for noise only, no performance will be gained and if tuned incorrectly will be lost.
Aib668 Posted 15, November 2019 Author Report Share Posted 15, November 2019 Ta! Not big on the noise factor. Will put the bucks to the handling.
