  1. 200 has seatbelts for 4 people, 197 has seatbelts for 5
  2. If this thread was any more ambiguous I would think it's one Matts cars.
  3. Sweet pick up Grace! Nice presentation from the dealer too.
  4. I called them a few months ago too and they said if you have a few events scheduled for the year they can discount the premium. I didn't discuss numbers but I went back to Shannon's with that info and the conversation ended pretty quickly.
  5. I quite enjoy braking really hard (when safe to do so) cause the Brembo's stop well. This can lead disc wear as a result tho. You may have some artifacts on the pads or discs causing them to squeal.
  6. Even the number plate is great looking.
  7. Congrats mate! Really surprised you got one with such low km's and so close to your target price. Take care getting in and out of the car especially with denim and coa*** fabrics to keep the Recaro's nice. It's awkward at first but you get used to it. EDIT: *within your budget! Just read your Whirlpool post.
  8. I haven't really kept track of many come up for sale on a monthly basis but the grey one for $13k is a really good package. Your mileage criteria will have the buyer asking for more than your budget.
  9. Fair point but you're looking at end of life cycle units that have cumulative updates and variations from 7 years of building this chassis. I think you're right on with the late model holding value though. Going by that logic the Meg LE should hold it's value especially with how well specced it is. 10. RS's depreciate severely. Regardless of which one you get you need to accept the resale will be poor however at $13k there's hardly anything left to lose!

    Noobie Saying Hi

Welcome Kera! Great time to get behind the wheel of a Meg 3. Sub $20k in some cases. Can't report as an owner but I have seen the engine mounts to present as an issue. Have a read through here - http://www.ozrenaultsport.com/index.php?/forum/45-megane-iii-technical/
  12. I held out for about 4 months while shopping around and my preference was to buy a forum members car. If they have a car thread you can see the history under their ownership, carsales can't show the ownership experience of an enthusiast like a forum can. Have a look through here - http://www.ozrenaultsport.com/index.php?/forum/46-cars/
  13. It's a neat little unit, the 2 I've purchased (for separate cars) were both from eBay shipped from the U.S. Sorry, I'm unsure of local distributors.
  14. The Arc Audio XDi 450.4 is 53mm in height for reference. Agreed, there's nothing like some low end bump from a stereo
  15. Just one on the front it seems... I thought it was more of a supporting bar? The seat rail has a latch from the rear seat leg of the Recaro to prevent the sliding on mine. I slid the seat back and the bar wouldn't clear my fingers resting on the amp, maybe 5mm of clearance from the bar to the amp. That amp pictured is an Arc unit which is now discontinued. Replacement model is the Arc Audio XDi 450.4 which is 5mm shorter in height. The tail light access hatch is a neat spot. The rear speaker cavity has lots of room as well. The under seat option is a little risky if there are little ones to cart around. Drink spillage can happen when cornering like one does in an RS...a no open food or drinks policy in the car becomes the next topic of conversation
  16. A class D amp should fit under the seat. I've got one under my Recaro's. I can't imagine the floor space under the seat is too different in the Meg compared to the Clio. Marine and motorbike audio gear is compact, should see a few options on ebay. The spare wheel well is huge. A space saver spare will allow ample room for a 10" sub.
  17. I can have a look for you if you like. I can compare it directly against mine which is in good condition but the car for sale looks to be in fantastic condition.
  18. I had an Astra prior to an RS as well. Good little cars. Congrats on the new Meg! The cornering grip is highly addictive
  19. I love the Recaro's too and they are quite comfortable. The "right on top of the action" seating position the Clio has means the "driving from the back seat" look just doesn't take (thankfully). The standard seats just don't get much praise when they are very good seats. More padding and adjustment offers greater comfort which someone somewhere would find more important than the bolstering of the Recaro's.
  20. The standard seats also have lumbar adjustment, Recaro's do not. The standard seats are more comfortable for a daily.
  21. There is less knee room for rear passengers with the Recaro backs but no difference in foot room. The standard seats are very good but the Recaro's make it feel more special and hold you in better when driving with spirit. When test driving pay special attention to the gear shift. The synchro's can wear from 2nd to 3rd gear. That's about the only reoccurring issue with this model.
  22. A mate of mine has the same model. The blue isn't particularly striking but his one has a full leather interior. It's still an RS but there's no shortage in used Meganes at the moment.
  23. He said around $2800 fitted halfway up the page. Seems like a large figure but then I remember paying $2200 for my exhaust and that was when our dollar was strong.
