  1. Sorry to hear you’re out of RS ownership. Interesting looking car. Like the pug version of a regular car. Build thread?

    2022 Megane

Ph2 (Q3 2021) has different shaped lights, an updated centre console/dash and that’s about it. They might have the Euro6 engine. AFAIK the 2021 PH2 and 2022 PH2 are exactly the same. Tyres, The rears wear as well with the rear steer but depends on the tyres you have. Every 5k should be fine. Lightweight battery was sorted with the PH2 I believe. Why Auto? Better colour and the much desired Performance Pack…
  3. Did you get something it writing that the issue would be fixed if you had 4 of the same tyres? I’d be asking for them to compensate you for the cock about. what tyres did you get btw? Potenza sports are normally 25% off and they rip

    Hi to all

Matt I think you’re the least of our problems. Where thems gear knobs at?!

    Hi to all

Welcome Zane. You’ll find a huge amount of knowledge on here and a fair chunk of irreverent trash that’s pretty entertaining.
  6. If it's a daily I doubt you'll miss the LSD especially if you're dealing with crappy roads. The Sport chassis is more than capable even if the Cup has the prestige of 'race car' and the black wheels look much better than the diamond cut ones There are a couple of places that do them but they're probably a cookie cutter type standardised tune. Paul from RS Tuning in the UK occasionally comes out here for tuning. He was here last year and @squibby generally is the organiser.
  7. Welcome! Lovely car! Best Megane ever IMO but i am biased...
  8. Might have a boost leak. The dv isn’t designed to increase boost, just improve the lag when changing gears. If it’s not hitting peak boost the the ecu is stopping it likely. Could be a solenoid issue. Might want to reseat it or tightening it
  9. Did you have a look at the boost before the DV+ was installed?

    Newbie to RS

Unfortunately, or fortunately whichever way you look at it, the 147/156 GTAs were a genre all on their own. The sound, torque, looks and way they devoured bushes and timing belts is something that was never seen before or after. the megane 280 is a far cry from the Alfa life.

Welcome mate! were you part of the AusAlfa community? The transition from Alfa to Renault is quite an easy one and there are several Alfisti here including myself. you’ll find the crushing depression from having an Alfa that doesn’t work will disappear quickly however the crushing depression from owning an RS will replace it.

This did you get the correct colour?
  13. Nice one! Pictures are a must even if there are several other TO 280s on here. the PS4S is probably the best bang for buck tyre out there. They’re not cheap tho
  14. I live in Canberra and our roads are dog water. The cup chassis is fine.
  15. Welcome! The Orange is the best colour but then I'm biased. The only thing that has been an issue is the fuel pump but that should have been sorted under the recall. The 2019 should have a 5 year warranty so still have one year left. Service costs are relatively good. Im getting my 2018 serviced today and im looking at roughly $440 plus a loan car (Koleos!). The EDC is a nice box and doesn't really have issues. If it's been well maintained, they're a reliable car much like any modern passenger vehicle. Good luck with your search
  16. I had a Giulietta QV tuned by ARI in Sydney. When it worked it went like a stabbed rat. That wasn’t very often however. Classic Italians
  17. Mate im 40 and the only bike you ever need is a Hardtail! Back on topic, I’d be suggesting having a serious look at @abb6027s Megane 4. They’re quick when needed and being a modern car, comfortable when not. Mine has been flawless other than a swirl flap issue that Renault sorted out under warranty. There is no difference in suspension from the Cup to the Trophy models, and the only thing you lose out on is the bi-modal exhaust but thats relatively easy to fix with a res-delete. @abb6027s car has the Bose and Alcantara interior so the best blend of options. Compared to the Mk3, the Mk4 has a modern emissions engine, using a timing chain, is based on a Nissan 4 pot and has the same gearbox and diff and uses a very similar hub and brake setup as the Mk3 so you don’t miss out on much. Maybe the Recaros but then the OEM Mk4 seats are exceptional. They just don’t have a brand name other than ‘RS’ on them. If you want to put people in the back you can, and something the i30N or the new Civic don’t have, rear air vents. Good luck finding your new car. Sounds like it’s going to be hard shoes to fill. Incidentally did you have your 595 tuned?
  18. I’m surprised he’s lasted this long second time around. @Gambitsurely it’s time for a rest for Haakon 2.0?
  19. Welcome. Great colour. The brembos really pop with the black on silver. heaps of knowledge here and you’ll love how different the rs265 is to most of its contemporaries. The F4RT sounds a lot like an ST20DET but wrapped in a chassis that likes going around corners.

    Hi everyone

Welcome Jack, You'll find a huge volume of information and knowledge here. In all honesty, if you cant find the Renault related content you're looking for on OZRS, it's probably not worth knowing. There is also a lot of schmutz on here that you don't need to know as well, mostly perpetuated by me. Post some pics of your Meg.
  21. Welcome mate. Probably best option is the Forge Motorsport product. They're pretty robust and relatively easy to install apart from the blanking plate which isn't necessary to install. https://www.forgemotorsport.asia/Renault_Megane_225230_Blow_Off_Valve_and_Fitting_Kit--product--808.html
  22. Few questions as per above: age? location? possible budget? does the name sips mean anything to you?
  23. The M5P404 uses 0W40 but it’s some Renault specific stuff called RN17 but this oil is specific to Euro 6 compliant vehicles which the RS280/300 is not as they don’t have the petrol particulate filter. Castrol make some but I doubt the RN17 is required if you’re just topping up the oil. That said, the M5P404 has no history of eating oil despite being a high boost engine and in the last 10,000km of my ownership, mine hasn’t lost any.
