Interested Posted 6, February 2018 Report Share Posted 6, February 2018 I test drove a 172 the other week, but it was too expensive for me to get on the road. Two weeks ago I checked out a non running 172 and towed it home. Did some fault finding and turns out it had a broken crank angle sensor (surprise surprise!). Picked up a new sensor at lunch, got home, whacked it in and drove off. I've been smiling for hours! 4
vaughan Posted 6, February 2018 Report Share Posted 6, February 2018 Well done. 👍 Prepare yourself now and get a can of contact cleaner. You’ll get excited, vacuum the car and slide the front seats right back and forwards to get all that naughty dirt out... and then the airbag light will appear. 😀
Interested Posted 6, February 2018 Author Report Share Posted 6, February 2018 What do I need contact cleaner for? Bit late, I'm already excited... The seats are very gunked up I think, they are tough to slide around.
