JOM Posted 25, October 2014 Report Share Posted 25, October 2014 Hi all, I just joined this forum after finding it yesterday. I own a mk111 clio rs aus gp edition (#1). Have owned for about a year after purchasing from the original owner. I am now considering getting the akrapovic evolution exhaust but would really like to see and hear one in the flesh if possible first. I'm in Perth. Would any members with the exhaust be willing to show me their car? Many thanks, JOM

m0nty Posted 27, October 2014 Report Share Posted 27, October 2014 Agreed. There's no clip of limiter bouncing there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JOM Posted 27, October 2014 Author Report Share Posted 27, October 2014 Thanks all, I do appreciate the comments. But my concern relates to both droning and appearance - I will be driving to work and to meetings etc, and I can't really have a car that is too boy racer looking / sounding. So I don't want to buy 'sight unseen'. Cheers
m0nty Posted 27, October 2014 Report Share Posted 27, October 2014 There's no drone whatsoever. A Golf GTI standard exhaust is louder. It really is a great exhaust. Also, the carbon tips don't need to be fitted. You can stick with the standard ones for stock appearance. rampage Posted 27, October 2014 Report Share Posted 27, October 2014 Mate, I had the same initial concerns, but I am sure glad I did it. The throttle response was instantly noticeably better, the sound is fantastic, and when driving round town it's just a bit beefier than before, and only when you really give it some beans - it certainly comes alive. The carbon tips almost make the exhaust invisible against the black diffuser.. so I wouldn't see that as as issue.
OzSport Posted 28, October 2014 Report Share Posted 28, October 2014 Hi mate, not sure if it will help but Melville Renault has a breakfast meet this Saturday where they'll be showing off the RS275 in depth. Be a good opportunity to hear it. Check out the info on the French & Fantastic Automobile Club FB page. Cheers
zama Posted 4, November 2014 Report Share Posted 4, November 2014 As a rookie and picking my Clio up tomorrow and having already found myself to the Akropovic link, what does this cost landed in Australia and fitted, is there a local dealer or do you import and get local mechanics to fit.
