TheRealThomas Posted 23, August 2014 Report Share Posted 23, August 2014 Hi guys, My name is Gus, I used to sell Renaults with Bryan Byrt. I have a RS Clio 172. I am looking at putting in a Green Cotton induction kit and Black Diamond brake rotors and pads. Has anyone had any experiences with either product? R182 Posted 23, August 2014 Report Share Posted 23, August 2014 Hi Gus. I have that induction kit and I enjoy the extra sound. I also think it looks good... but as with most of them I don't think you'll see any performance improvement.
TheRealThomas Posted 23, August 2014 Author Report Share Posted 23, August 2014 Hi R182. My reasoning is more long term life of engine and to let it breath easier. Thanks for the feedback. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

vaughan Posted 24, August 2014 Report Share Posted 24, August 2014 Hi R182. My reasoning is more long term life of engine and to let it breath easier. Engines running stock exceed 200,000 km easily. How much longer life do you need? Get an intake kit on if you want loud, or just want to fettle. Just don't expect better performance, they usually cause a loss of low- and mid-range torque compared to stock. wade Posted 24, August 2014 Report Share Posted 24, August 2014 Henk actually said my BMC was an improvement over stock (slightly) when he did the dyno remap ....... I was surprised as he is generally very negative about after market induction. Not sure about the rotors, but have heard negative things about the pads (ie that they are sh*t) Tried and tested solutions are: Brembo high carbon disks or DBA discs Pads: DS2500's (good road and track, but they tend to start to disintegrate after a while) Pagid Yellows (expensive but they last really well) Braided lines and up rated fluid (660 seems to be the go) Of course if you want ultimate performance you will need to paint your calipers red
