  3. I have forgotten what to do, and a kind enthusiast told me many moons ago how to, but have lost it
  4. Ok bro, will do that on friday morning! Cheers tezza
  5. Greetings all I spoke to Dishan re this matter. As I have said before I have ordered a new Megane 265 Red Capsicum Cup from Gary & Warren Smith, Ringwood. I don't pick the Cup up Inyol June 2013 - I ordered it on 7 Feb 2013. When I related this story here, I was warned that the dealer has a poor record in car service and I was urged to check everything before I accepted car from the dealer. I looked at an old thread here where people made suggestions about what to check before accepting the car, added a lot of basic things too, and others. I am going to take the checklist with me when I pick up the car; of course it is a little slanted towards the 265. If anyone wants it I am happy to provide it via email; it is a Word doc. Unfortunately it cannot be hosted at this site. It is easy to forget to check anything when you pick up the new car, but it is exceedingly annoying to take the car back if there are issues. It is also very difficult to get a dealer to cough up when, say, the next day or some days after collecting it, you find stone marks on the duco, or the front skirt under the front bumper is scrubbed or damaged, or there are dings and chops on the mags. All this has occurred, and I have flagged these and a whole lot of others in the checklist; it is a comprehensive list. I thoroughly commend the checklist. People will forget this after reading it, but hopefully tge newly designed site here may find it easier to dig up So, again, if you want it, let ne know your email address and I will provide it. Tezza ( blog name at the Age: Tezza's profound wisdom) cheers brothers and sisters!!
  6. I like writing Bacchus, but I read thus when a reviewer made the opening summary: to the question what is the 265 like: the response: "eager, eager, eager" or this to the question " so what is the 265 really like on the road" the reply, " in a word, remarkable" i must admit though, there have been new stuff on line about the 275 lately, so I am running out of material. Except of course, when a hatch review comes up giving high praise, and then I come in heavy. Of course, the rivalry continues. Merc is releasing a thundering 365 hp A45 hatch - I expect this will be AWL though, and $80,000 , so you really can't line this up with the little 265 Megane terrier eh? I intuitively believe that 265 hp and 360NM of torque is getting near tge limit for front wheel drive; physics begin to turn it all around, and stress will mean it can all come to poo and damage what is now a truly remarkable product, a product that Renault does little to promote here, I mean you have this top shelf product, and I am no marketeer or photo shoot dude, but I could cobble together a understated but narcissistic ad that would start the testerterone squirting in a rush without offending people about safety and speed. and ensuring that hoonism Is in mo way promoted- tge add would be slick, sexy and understated showing the ostentatious looks, curvy looks and extraverted nature. A quip that "arguably the RS ( might be best leaving that acronym out) Megane 265 is the best front wheel drive ever built" Renault must find it not worth it despite the fact that we are second country with the highest sales maybe right hand drive tooling and assembly is a pain but to me that ad should be on the telly now gotta get to sleep it is 1am fri 1 Mar. Cheers from mr 265 (tezza)
  7. I am now bacchus u like the crazy excitement bro?
  8. It's Tezza again, thank you very much for replying so promptly. I am gong to take all your advice. I won't get the exhaust done at Renault Rivhmond in Church street. I am green about the these thimgs. I liked the guys at Richmomd. Matt was very well spoken, used to be the mechanic at Ringwood, mow seems to do both sales and a bit of mechanical work. He did promote the exhaust, bit I thought $2500 was a lot of dough too!! Makes me ask you guys this: do you know about Renault Richmond's reputation in service, in competence- I guess it like a restaurant- if the conscientous and thorough mechanic leaves, service quality and problem identification can drop right off, so one would need to really in the know- where are the respected mechanics- I guess they have their own businesses. So is Richmond ok, or not particularly as they are proting the exhaust; they told that there was this gun fella around tge corner to them who does lots if quality stuff. Should I get Matt at Richmond to unpack for me what I get for $2500 k- abd ask about Ktec and a the details; and sure I hear that irrespective of whether it I'd ktec or not, $2500 is ridiculous; also I gather they should not be telling me that if I get the exhaust done, it will give e 290hp- that is what MAtty said. So is it Glen Waverley or is Richmond. I did but my red Capsicum Cup from Gary and Warren Smith- no cuppas offered there But they did at Richmond have a 2012 plated 8:08 there with about 4000k on it; I of course told them the truth that I had ordered a Cup from Gary & Warren Smith. If I hadn't done that , I think zi woukd have bought th 8:08. It was $50k drive away - basically the extra thing it had of course was the leather seats an 19 inch wheels and keyless entry- I have all the other stuff, and cost mr $47730 drive away - 2013 plated if course but waiting till June is getting to me. So that is about it really, except I blog incessantly on the Age on live 'drive' , saying wonderfully things about the hottest front wheel drive hatch ever, and the fastest and best now- always look for my blog name- and there is stuff of mine there right now about the new VW GTI- look for my blog name 'Tezza's's profound wisdom. By the way I can't wait to show up at your meeting place with my new red cap. Cup, but it won't be ti late June I expect cheers and happy motoring guys and gals !!
  9. Hi it's tezza I am new to Renault and 'went the guts' as they say and bought a new red capsicum 265 Cup with a few goodies. I won't get it till mid to late June though. I have been a very regular on the Age newspaper on line singing the praises all the 265 and today I saw that VW are bringing out a new GTI . So Tezza gies into bat saying how wonderful the reviews are and the Golf owners pounce. You know I an saying this boring tired old box, old shoe box which gets cleaned up by tge 265. One dude said 'Tezza, you better start getting to know tge service staff at Renault because I took mine in 6 times in six months, 'Now , he said, I bought a Golf R ' which he raves about gents and ladies , if you own a 265 , or know people who do, can you pls tell me what problems are causing you to take the eager little terrier in to be fixed. Are there any serious issues, is the car performing like it should not having limited slip duffs before, I do have just an intuitive feeling that it might give us grief But can anyone tell me the details perhaps specifically in other words what's going wrong, any trends, anything serious? One other, I am finding it hard waiting till June till I get the red hot hatch, that Matty, a very nice fella at Richmond Renault in Melbourne said I could get a better exhaust system for about $2500k and it would be installed at Richmond .Matt or Ben there said it will then boost the hp to 290hp . He took me for a spin in a white Trophy and I didn't think the burble and crackle were very evident. The sound seemed still quite muffled; it still has to comply with tHe EPA decibels of 96? So to summarise, how is the 265 going, are people taking it in a lot, and if so, what are tge problems blah blah And van you tell me whether you have fitted the exhaust and do you believe you now have a Megane 265. All comments will be appreciated oh, by the way, When I blog to the drive segment of the age on line my blog name is ' Tezza's profound wisdom' let me know the good oil, brothers and sisters!
  10. Heh gryff how r u travelling - not too fast heh listen gryff, I bought the hot scorcher, slot car , fastest front wheel drive 265 'Cup' brother, but it has not been built yet bro I don't get that hot little red capsicum hatch until mid to late June brother I didn't think I'd turn up till I got the little terrier EH and by the way brother, do Club rules prevent an old fella, baby boomer coming sling and joining but mate, anyone with a 265 must be cool Eh?? Cheers :Tezza
  11. Tezza says : thanks for the welcome bros!!! The Megane 265 at the Renault dealer I'm Ringwood is a ''Tropy' it is a lotire expensive thant Cup' and it chrrome 'face' on the mags which spoil the sports look my red Cup will have the black Matt look all o er and with the red splash of the brake caliper - very sporty cheers - yell more about your 250 or 265 Cuos.. Or 8.08
  12. I will come to Sep meeting - where is it held brother? In Victoria ? Cheers
  13. Yehh I'm stoked, watch it on you tube eat up a Porsche Cayman R, in shoot out with a BRZ looked like a car designe 15 years ago. I decided to get xenon lights - believe they are excellent. I got Sat Nav rather than the speed timer gadgets over 400 metres etc/ - if you want both sat nav and that gadget / you can't- it is one or the other. I got a great deal with Gary and Warren Smith, from a fella called Serge. With the xenon lights ($1490) , Sat Nav, front sensors - $400 ( back ones are standard) and tinting, the Cup cost me $47730 drive away - big dollars but as we know the 265 is the fastest 2 wheel drive in the world, so when we can't afford a Lambo Aventador, the only next best choice is Megane 250 or 265 don't ya reckon brothers vrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm .... Bubblebubblescratchscratvhbubbke have any of you with the 250 upgraded the exhaust and muffler systen.. and the result???
  14. Hi there I am ecstatic- 2 days ago bought a MegAne 265 'Cup' at Gary and Warren Smith in Rimgwood- Capsicum Red with add ons of bi xenon lights, Sat Nav, front sensors ( rear ones are standard ) and tinting I read every review, all of which are astounding this litlle terrier, this hottie, thus little scorcher is the fastest front wheel drive in the world. The latest web review ' this is arguably the best built front wheel drive ever' But I have to wait till mid/late June 2013 till I get it I can't stop thinking about it. Please tell me if you have one and how it is going guess what, I'm not a gen or gen y dude, I am a baby boomer who has fallen madly in love! Ohhbb
