Hi All 

 

Ive heard a good way to get people to help you is to start with a compliment so:

 

Looks to be a great forum with loads of help and active users. Its already saved me buying one car that was a bit of a dog. 

 

So i am currently on the hunt for a megane 250 Cup as close to brisbane as possible. Problem is my max budget is $18k am i being unrealistic? and should i just look at a different/cheaper options?

Welcome to the forum, have a look at the megane 3 technical section, there should be heaps of info over there to get you familiar with what to look for in a second hand car. And also check out the this thread http://www.ozrenaultsport.com/index.php?/topic/16307-rs-cars-seen-advertised-online-non-members/page-59 there's usually a bit if discussion over there about any cars that do pop up.

Also unrelated on gumtree I just spotted this cup trophee? gets the full kit, xenons, recaros etc. asking price is a bit higher, but if that's in good nick that's a bloody steal.

you might be able to negotiate them down too. They've already dropped the price by 1K as in the body copy they mention $23K but the header lists $22K.

Cheers hadn't seen that one but I'm going to struggle to get anywhere near that.

They're great prices but as you say photos from another source is concerning, probably a con, as could be the one with only one photo

Thanks all I've messaged all of the ads and none of got back to me so will have to see on those.

 

In discussions with the one on Gumtree but at the moment we are miles apart on price and he has lots of viewings allegedly.
