chuckovski Posted 19, July 2016 Report Share Posted 19, July 2016 Any known issues with this? I'm finally getting around to getting tyres on the 18s (!!) Which are tibors without tpm. My 19s have tpm. Anyone done this? The tyre guy was freaking out about it. If they can't be swapped I'll just have my 18s without tpm but I'm guessing the computer will constantly have a light on... JerryACT Posted 20, July 2016 Report Share Posted 20, July 2016 Any good tyre fitter should be able to do this. However they can be susceptible to damage during demounting. The fitter will usually have you agree that they are not liable for any damages during the removal process. I decided to leave my 19's with the TPM's and run my 18's without them. A message appears on the dash that 'TPM's aren't present' which you can just scroll through and cancel. Alternatively, you can buy another set of TPM's for around $60 each from renaultpartsdirect.co.uk You'll just need to take them to your Renault dealer to have them programmed to suit your car.
