  1. @davidc92 - Congrats on the purchase! Best spec imho. You'll love it.
  2. @davidc92 - I'm keen to hear which one you end up going with. I faced the same dilemma not that long ago. Ended up with the 8:08 as I wanted the full leather recaros (not a fan of cleaning alcantara) and bi-xenon lights. Akra is not a big deal as I've read some people actually prefer the standard exhaust with the centre resonator removed. I don't think you'll be missing anything by going a car without the Akra exhaust. Oh and if you did want a liquid yellow car with bi-xenons then the 8:08 is your only option. Good luck with your choice! 😃
  3. I had a French specialist in SA perform a PPI for me and I'd recommend anyone do the same if considering an interstate sale. CEVA Logistics are who I went through. Was a smooth process. Quotes available online.
  4. I got a 2012 265 Trophy 8:08 (the special edition). It's got 84,000km and is immaculate. I ended up buying mine from SA and having it transported to Brisbane after no luck locally. My advice would be to wait for the right car with good service history. There are good cars out there but you need to wade through the higher km thrashed examples first. I'll keep an eye out for you if you like.
  5. I think I saw your post on the Facebook group AussieGuy. Welcome to the forum! I recently purchased a Megane myself and can wholeheartedly recommend them so far. From everything I've read they are a reliable performance car. I personally don't understand the comments about the firmness of the suspension. It is firm but certainly not uncomfortable. It is a performance hot hatch after all. I recommend you drive a couple to see if it fits your criteria. As others on the Facebook group mentioned, you could also try to source a "Sport" model 265 that doesn't have the firmer "Cup" chassis if yo
  6. Welcome to the forum. Nice Meg! It has a nice stance. What coilovers you running?
  7. Congrats on the purchase! Post up some pics.
  8. Nice looking Monaco GP. I agree the black and white combo really goes well together, especially with a nice tint.
  9. Good choice on the tyres. Arguably a better investment than jumping straight to mods.
  10. Congrats on the purchase Michael! Sounds like you're on the right track with the basic mods from what I've seen. I'd recommend enjoying the car for a bit though and getting to know the car better before jumping straight to mods. Renault did a pretty good job out of the box.
  11. Sounds like you had some unfortunate luck but good to hear you sorted another car quickly.
  12. Totally agree about the COVID tax price rise. I can't get over this dealer car. It was already ridiculously overpriced and has sat for weeks and weeks, and then I see today that they've just raised the price another $2k. 🤣 https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2014-renault-megane-r-s-265-cup-premium-manual/OAG-AD-19518553/?Cr=26
  13. I've also been on the hunt for a while but all the decent Megane 3's that I've seen lately are grey! Holding out for a different colour... The market does seem to be softening though as I've seen many sitting for ages and a couple have started dropping their price.
  14. Nice purchase Chris. I'm keen to see the Rotas installed.
  15. Congrats on the purchase Ben! I actually looked at that car too and it presented very well (just wasn't the colour I was after). I think you got a good buy. 👍
