Test drive both back to back. That will help you decide.

ozclio03 - A dishonest and undeserving member of OZRS
icecup replied to acidwestern's topic in Website Feedback
I'm surprised Ozclio03 hasn't responded yet. Unless he has something material to say, it looks a like a pretty strong case for Riley. Shameful act, if this is the case. -
Funnily enough I'm in KL at the moment. Saw one RS Megane yesterday. Very rare in these parts.

Welcome mate. Hope it will be an enjoyable experience.

Get a well maintained 182 or 182 Cup. As fast as a GTA in a straight line, faster around corners, plus more fun to drive and cheaper to maintain. That's my 2c.

And an excellent photographer. hahaha hardly

G'day Jeff, I am Sam & 27yr old. Just bought a 182 cup about 3 months ago. All i can say is that if its never going to be a prime baby mover...go the clio. You will save about $10k - $15k over a R26, and still get 90% of the driving experience. The interior quality on the clio is not as good as the r26, its smaller, but man is it fun to drive. Just imagine what you can do to the car with that extra money... I was in the same situation as you and was considering either a r26 or 182 cup. I just couldnt justify paying the extra, plus more for overall maintenance. Oh and the insurance costs...! Having said that, the R26 is an absolute brilliant car. If you can justify the cost...do it! Just go and test drive both. That will solve your problem.
