  1. I joined some time ago on the hunt for a Clio, and now that I got a Clio and fully registered in NSW, thought I might as well throw in a newbie post. Since six weeks old, I had been diagnosed with Haemophilia; a rare bleeding disorder that prevented my blood from proper clotting without treatment. Most of my life has been within the walls of the hospital and with many bruises and bleeds all throughout my body. There's so much that's happened during my first 14 years that its pretty much impossible to list it in this one post (You'll be able to read it all in the link at the bottom to our

  3. Hey gang, After lurking and posting for the past few years, seriously looking for a Clio RS for the past 18 months, personal issues blocking purchases, and then even finding the ONE, missing out on it but then it came back around....I FINALLY got the one I wanted. It was love at first sight and lust at first drive! Very low km A&D, Akra system, KTR intake, KTR engine mounts, lowered, swaybars and strut brace, and it did have a harness bar and harnesses which have come out for the time being. MAP holder arriving, new boots tomorrow and then some window tint.

  5. Hello all, Having recently moved to the country I had to purchase a car, Ive owned Clio's previously in England with the mk1 1.2, mk1 1.8 and then a Titanium 182. I thoroughly enjoyed the 182 and really wanted another. I figured that I wont be doing many miles for work and so the car will be for mainly weekend fun drives and the odd commute. So the search began, I was surprised at the lack of European cars and especially the sheer lack of 182's there were. However this made finding one even more special as I could tell that the gentleman who I bought mine from was a fellow enthusiast and

  6. Hey guys - new Megane RS 280 owner! Wanted to join to see what other Aussie Renault Owners get up to in terms of mods & drive days. Loving the Megane RS 280 after coming out of an Amarok for work. Owned a 2014 Polo 77tsi previously and is great being back in a quick hatch (tad faster than the Polo hey). Manual late 2018 model, got the rims painted and loving the Titanium Grey. Tempted to get an aftermarket exhaust done soon, on the cards. Anyone aware of any ECU reflashes available in Aus too? Couple of snaps this morning from a cruise up Mount Glorious. 4 wheel steer

  7. Hi All! Wesley here, long time lurker on OZRS from when I was trying to help my partner find a R27 F1 Team back in 2016 (ended up with a 6 speed 06 Cooper S instead) to now a proud owner of a Capsicum Red Clio 182 Trophy. I'm a Sydneysider now residing in the UK, hence the purchase :). I've been hooked on Renaults since driving a couple Megane RS, one at the nurburgring and one at the great ocean road. My mate, a big renault fanatic, has been planting the seed for a while from riding shotgun in his mint sunset yellow phase 1 172 to driving his recent 182. I've had a string of cars f

  8. HI all, New to the world of renault, just picked up a 2014 275 Trophy, liquid yellow and great condition. This is a 2nd car to compliment my '94 range rover classic, which is more practical for the kids but not always reliable, now I have the RS which is less practical but pretty reliable, to take up the slack and stop me getting in trouble with the boss for having to take her car! I live in Samford, Brisbane so have Mt Nebo / Mt Glorious on my door step so can enjoy the handling regularly. Test drove a mk6 Golf R and the trophy was far more engaging. I used to own a 135i,

  12. Morning all First post. I've just bought Safetymans beautiful 197-keeping the name Lucy. Amazing car, obviously been cherished and he was a lovely guy to deal with-very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about RS's. Car is as tight as a drum and looks great on the Megane grey wheels. Loved it so much driving home I thought 'mmm-maybe I should daily it' but really want to keep the klms down and in it's current condition. Unfortunately they beg to be driven-conundrum. Then I remembered-what about the 200 Trophy for sale with 55klms, some cosmetic issues and needing belts etc? Sp

  13. Greetings, Literally just bought this car https://www.autotrader.com.au/car/10577478/renault/megane/nsw/warwick-farm/hatchback 😁 Picking it up in 10 days or so - I have to drive from Melbourne to Sydney to do the trade-in, but it'll be worth it ! I'm an ex-Pommie and have always been a fan of the fast Frenchies. Looked at the 308 GTi, but the dash and steering wheel was all wrong for me. Jumped into a Megane 280 and felt immediately at home. Can't wait to collect the thing. Hopefully I'll post some pics in the next few weeks. Yes it's stock, yes it's grey, bu

  14. Came to say hey hey Bought this machine earlier this year after my previous car was written off due to a collision. After carefully considering the market options, I became hooked for a Megane III RS so I set out for one. Ended up finding this nice example in my perfect combo (Pre-facelift, Grey, Cup+) from a top notch owner in Victoria. Paid for an interstate inspection (shout out to State Roads), flew down to make the deal, and drove it up for its new life in NSW. Funny story: Since rego cannot be transferred interstate, previous owner kept the plates and I drove up some 900km with

Gives you the chance to decide for yourself what's effective from what's fashionable. If its got average tyres on it now that'd be step one. Res delete is also valid if not done already for more noise without drone.

  16. Hey guys, After lurking here for a few months, I recently bought a 2011 RS250 Monaco GP (no. 205). Really enjoying it so far and it feels like a suitable upgrade in power and handling from my old Honda Integra Type S. The only mod on it at the moment are some Bilstein coilovers which definitely improve cornering and aesthetics. The previous owner also sold me some Rota Titan-Fs wrapped with Yokohama AD08Rs which I've been told are awesome on track. I'd like to get the resonator removed soon to hear a bit more action from the exhaust. I'm liking the OZRS community so far and hope

It was only up on carsales for a day before I went to see it, it was seriously immaculate so I bought it then and there. Has only 36k and had been serviced including the timing belt done by Renotech. My last 'fun' cars were a S15 Silvia and twin turbo Supra - wish I kept them as they'd be worth a bunch right now, but the Meg's been a blast to drive so far. Not sure what my plans are...it has an upgraded Focal amp + speaker system so that's taken care of, open to suggestions for other mods! Here's a few pics of my

  23. Dear Members, Hello, As I write I have yet to collect my brand new 2019 Megane RS Cup Auto in white. I am very excited to be owning my first Renualt. I am very keen to learn more about this product from owners and hope to add my thoughts and feedback over time. I have owned a VW Golf GTD which I enjoyed but never a real sports hatch. It was close and the new Hyundai i30 Fastback N almost had me but, I kept coming back to the Megane after watching many reviews and taking a demo for good drive. Anyhow. Hello, and I'll see you in the Threads. Safe Roads Lloyd.

  28. Hi everyone It's such a joyous occasion to be reunited with this supremely exciting and wonderful marque. A long time ago, as a 19 year old I joined this forum as 'Swish' with a black Clio 182. I loved that car. It had a Miltek system, a bmc cda and focal speakers. It was so exciting. Drive days, learning and camaraderie followed. The community was so good. Alas as time passed and the daily grind set in I sold the clio to a good friend who took on my forum account for a little while until the gearbox finished and the car went the way many old loved things do only you can't rem

  29. Hi all. Thought I'd join up for all the useful info. We were searching for something like a secondhand Skoda hatch for my wife and I as a runaround. We got messed around by a dishonest seller and had a wasted 5hr round trip. I started looking at other sensible options like the VW Polo and Mazda 2/3. So logically we bought a Renault Clio RS200 Cup Trophy 🤣 Picked it up last month in Sydney. Red. 2014 model. 34,000kms. Have a 2018 vw passat wagon as a daily, so this is now my fun weekend car. I've had a Citroen DS3, Audi s3 and Golf R in my car history but this is just n

  31. Hi everyone, bought this Clio 172 off the forums here as my first car a few months back, my friends thought I was mad for buying a French car as my first, but after they saw it in person they're envious haha. I've been so busy, so have hardly had the time to properly enjoy it, but I finally got around to giving it a wash and a wax, as well as a little bit of interior cleaning.Tips for cleaning and refreshing the suede would be appreciated The condition of the car was fantastic when I bought it and it'd obviously been well taken care of. Definitely going to get some new rims for it soon;

  32. Hi All, Just thought id drop a quick hello. I've just driven back from Brisbane, for my GF, a 2012 Clio RS Angel & Demon #422 (Grey). Fantastic condition and low kms. I have always thought these were such a great package of a car and when my GF said she wanted one or a Abarth, this was the winner. Would be great to go on a few drives here and there with it with everyone. My ride is a 2015 Volvo S60 Polestar in Polestar blue #1200. Quick pic of the two below. Cheers! Tim

  33. Hi gang, I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first RS! Im absolutely head over heals for my new Clio 200 Cup. Ive always wanted one and Im glad to say its lived up to the hype! Its a Toro Red example, Gen III, 2013 with the awesome Recaro seats. Ive taken it for a spin down to the mornington penninsula, including the windy roads around Red Hill and Arthurs Seat and oh boy, it certainly is the type of car that reminds you how much fun driving is, especially with a 6sp manual. It really does defy belief the speed you can carry through corners and how much punch the 2L engine has.

Bought a 2016 RS Cup Premium and to say I am looking forward to getting in that seat is an understatement. I'm sure it's going to surprise the mrs, even though she has seen pictures of it. We test drove a cup edition on the weekend, but it was white and she loved the look of it. She is not a fan of black cars and this one is black, so there is bound to be some apprehension. Apart from the colour which she knows about, she has no idea quite what sort of car it is (that is

  35. G'day Team, Bought a 275 cup premium, have never owned a Renault before or anything French so definitely some 'niggles' to get used to. My plan with the car is to use it just for weekend blasts, I have a boring daily for the commute to the office. Am planning on doing some light track days with it also (I'm in Melbourne so COVID permitting). Anything I should do to the car right now? I have just over the weekend updated the FANTASTIC...(ha) R-Link software via USB, but any other advice on small upgrades would be great! When I go for track days, plan will be just pads,

Renault have done an amazing job with this car and so glad we got the cup pack, the suspension is very smooth at speed and the diff just pulls the car tighter into the corner. Just wow ! 40. Test drove a Megane RS(Orange) this morning and I was impressed by the comfortable ride. I wasn't after a hardcore hatch like a Ford RS just after one that was comfortable but handled well if I wanted to take it for a spirited drive. I believe that the Megane RS fitted the bill. I will take delivery of the car most likely mid next week. Some people may be surprised that I coming from a BMW M140i however the ride in the RS is superior and the handling is sharper. I'll probably miss the wallop of torque in the BMW but I couldn't really stretch it's "legs".I certainly will not miss the
