  1. Got an 2006 1050 Speed Triple in Scorched Earth Yellow (Triumph colour- worth owning just for that name). About 35000km on it. Don't ride particularly hard but hold my own in most company. Love this bike.

  2. Ebay is your friend on this one- got a complete window winder mechanism with motor for a 3 door 2006 Meg for about $90. Bugger of a job to do. Tension on raise/ lower wires is high- good luck getting tension back on them.
  3. Good to see another local 225. Well done. I would be surprised if it had cam change. First port of call for enhanced performance is usually fast chip RSTune.
  4. I have a generic Rhino rubber on mine I purchased off Doook. Required a small amount of drilling, fit then trim to length.
  5. Do all your engine mounts sooner rather than later unless 100% sure they are good. Also check steering rack ends. A common problem. If going for xr5 rims make sure to get the 60.1 mm to 64.3mm hub centric spacer rings to ensure good fit- much less likely to cause steering vibrations. You could consider the Ford rs 19’s as well. Rare but do come up from time to time.
  6. Track it! Any track. Willowbank. Lakeside. Doesn't matter which one.
  7. 2006 there was a Megan Sport (aka 225) 3 door available in black (black /gold) with cloth interior and blue highlights and came with 17" wheels (similar in appearance to the 18's). Not F1 or R26 but just a common garden variety 225 SPORT- build date November 2016, Australian Compliance December 2006 and sold new in Feb 2007. How do I know this? Because there is one parked in my garage right now. Also had Xenon's standard. Build and compliance plates can't lie.
  8. Not Clio but I did to my meg I. Cheap ebay one cost about $8 including post. It even works (quite well) including in poor light.
  9. I too, have the same colour as your car. I had never used clay bar until today. Largely on seeing it come up, time and time again on this forum, decided to give it a go. I had never been completely happy with the finish I was getting on the paintwork with a range of different products. Now- total clay bar convert. So easy to use and so fast to get a great result. One thing I have found with these cars is you really do need to want to do some of the work on them yourself. Otherwise, you will pay lots, often for, substandard work or service. Cleaning/ polishing and oil changing are inconvenient but at least you know it is done and done the way you want it to be.
  10. Love the 3dr. They are the lightest weight and carry the unique body styling so well. Welcome and enjoy.
  11. Mmmmm- black. Best colour for a stealth bomber!
  12. "Probably going to put in a double din headunit in the next day or so as well, so I'm open to recommendations there." I'll be interested to hear how you go with this and what you end up with. Also how you go with the install and what extra bits you need for it (cables, headhunt cage, trim, fascia). I'm in the process of trying to do this for an android phone and use the mirror cast operations with touch screen.
  13. No- not at all- when you collect 4 quarter horses you actually end up with one entire, complete, whole horse.
  14. Injectors are not hard to do so long as you are gentle with the plastic fuel rail. Take your time and be gentle and quite easy. Everything is right at the front of the engine. These appear to be fairly cheap- others might have a better supplier http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271785808533?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Coils out of Melbourne. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252037042406?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I have not used either of these yet. Not much good to you out on the road at night though. Best of luck with it.
