Hey. Thanks for the quick response.

[edit - Dish]

Im actually from Scotland but my folks live here in Perth WA! Im looking at moving over here in the near future and I'm going to bring my clio 182 with me so obviously I want to be part of this forum. I'm part of cliosport.net in the UK of course.

Thanks

Sorry for the delay as I've been out most of today.

Addy now cleared for take-off 8)

Welcome to our shores and our lil corner of the interwebs :)

You'll find a small but growing group of Perth/WA based members.

So bringing a regular 182 with you? Not a 182 Trophy or a 255 V6 or R26.R or a Williams or a Spider or something more exotic?

Cheers, Dish.

Thanks! Thats me fully involved and logged in now!

Basically, ive been here about 5 times as i said my family live here! My first visit was 2005 when my sis got married here. I LOVE perth and WA (what ive seen of it!) I want to end up here in a year or two and will NOT leave my baby behind.

She is a 2005 full fat sport so has the cup stuff and the creature comforts. Arctic Blue. I found her earlier this year and she only had 23k on it...its now at 25,800. Traded in my 08 Swift Sport for her. Weird how many swift sports are here in OZ. Can you only get the 5 doors here in the sport form? They look so much better in the three door.

Anyway...what im worried about is that when things need doing like the cam belts and servicing etc...is there a proper renault sport specialist here in Perth than can be trusted other than Renault?

I'll let the WA crew answer that last bit for you, but I guess you'll need to get a few things changed over to meet the Aussie regs too.

As for the Swift Sport, I believe we only get them in 5dr form. Wasn't even aware that there was a 3dr!

Generally speaking, windscreen replacement, instrument binnacle to read in km/h not mph... can't think of anything else apart from perhaps a quarantine period? We're pretty stringent when it comes to soil etc coming into the country (to avoid foot & mouth/anthrax etc) so tyres and wheelwells might need inspecting?

There are a couple of ex-UK residents who have brought cars over with them recently who will be able to further explain the finer details I'm sure.

So is there anyone on here that can tell me more about taking the car accross there to WA? Is there a place over there also that can do the stuff like cam belt changes and other specialist things that here in the UK we dont let renault or regular garages do on the sports?
