RSC Factory Brake Pads

ClioF1

Recommended Posts

If anyone is interested the fronts are TRW Lucas and the rears are Galfer.

The Lucas pads in the front explain the consistent braking, they are known to be good all round pads for road use with consistent friction and wear rates.

Not designed for high temps though, but people have used them on the track with no problems in lots of cars.

I have a mate who races x 19s pops knows him - Julian (yellow x19) who swears by Lucas pads. They are fantastic. You can get better pads, but they won't work as hard as quickly as Lucas. Gone for budget pads on the rears though :( nothing a replacement won't fix!

Galfer are good too Swish, they are trying to break into Oz at the moment. I think they're Italian.

last time i got quoted for a Lucas front pad , $100 in ABC Brakes. not sure whether that wil be the same for the factory one though..

g'day clio bretheren!

i'm from newcastle and bought a clio for my chrissy present  and its proving very hard to find clio pads. i got some priced today; Lucas 135 for the front and 150 clams for the back. im not too worried about the price, however if factory are cheaper and just as good i'd take a pair of them. OR have i got it backwards and is Lucas what originally comes with the car ? thanks for your help

I'm pretty sure the factory ones are sub $100. $150 for the rears is wwwaaayyy too much. They are a stocko Renault/Citroen/Pug item.
