  1. Will take a nice pic tomorrow. Yes – definitely kept the steering controls! Basically I did the following (all bought of ebay cause its generally cheaper) Got the SONY MEX-M100BT (it has 100w x 4, I think it does 25 RMS each channel!) Got a new facia like this – https://www.ebay.com.au/i/122795663348?chn=ps Get an Antenna adapter like this You then need a Steering Wheel control harness. My meg has the screen (with maps – which you lose as a part of the install, but not the reverse camera). I got the CTSRN008.2. There are others depending on which audio setup you have. I just took my head unit out to see which one I needed. Others are shown here https://aerpro.com/vehicles/renault/renault-megane-2009-2016. There is a harness that apparently retains maps but it costs 200 pounds! Not worth those Tom Tom maps IMO when WAZE is a million times better. You will need a patch lead based on which head unit you get. This goes from the steering control on the back of the HU to the SW control harness. My control harness came with one. https://www.autobarn.com.au/aerpro-patch-lead-me11550 You then you need to convert your head unit plug to ISO. So I got the SONY to ISO 16 pin – http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/HARNESS-ISO-TO-SONY-APP8SP4/423692 The Sony end on this harness plug was different to the one actually coming from the head unit, so I just removed the connectors and joined each wire together with heat shrink. Now the ISO plugs into the Steering wheel adapter which then fits the existing plugs in the renault. There are lot of wires so I had to do some wire gymnastics to get it all back in there. Then viola it sounds a million times better! On my particular head unit I had to play with a setting to set the controls correctly for the steering wheel controls, but it all worked great! Next was the Active Sub. I found it impossible to get through the firewall to get to the battery. I also did not want to go to an installer or drill a hole! So for the power cable I just bought a dual fuse tap like THIS and powered the sub through the cigarette lighter fuse. I was inspired by this when I found a FOCAL instal guide that wires their active subs to the back of the cigarette lighter power cable. I affectively did the same thing without cutting into more wires. Here is the guide –https://www.focal-inside.com/ds/wp-content/uploads/tutorials/megane3_en.pdf Then I wired the sub to the head unit via RCA and the remote cable and then finished! Now my sound is amazing! Hope this helps.
  2. Ah! Apologies Moosey! I assumed they were one in the same thing! Will make payment now for the sticker! Cheers!
  3. Nice looking car mate! +1 on the resonator! Everyone seems to have differing results. Mine cracks and pops like no tomorrow. Also consider a new K&N panel filter – helps with a bit of induction noise and quicker pedal response. Be sure to remove the piece of foam that is in the Air box as well!! I upgraded the sound system with a new head unit and an active sub! Sounds perfect now. Ne sure to read the ICE thread as there are a few parts you need to get this done! good luck.
  4. Hi admins! Sent my order a few weeks ago and have yet to receive anything. Eagerly awaiting my sticker and extra HP!! Cheers

  6. Ah! Apologies. I assumed as mine got the recaros. Must have been an upgrade! I love the recaros, but I know my wife would have preferred the leather electric! 🤫 lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. There isn’t much difference from my research. Just the stickers and unique colour, but the RB8 has the update R.S. monitor with all the telemetry. The trophy+ will not (I have a trophy), just maps and reverse cam. Other than that they are the same. Mechanically identical and awesome! Both have leather recaros, 19” steevs (black for RB and alloy for trophy), bi-xenon directional headlights. Trophy usually has the glass roof, I’m unsure if the RB8 does. Either way you’ll be getting a great car! Just get it checked out and see their service history. 2013 would mean the car is due for its timing belt change ($1k job). I almost bought a RB8 from Melbourne, Low ks, but turns out it was a repairable write-off! Close call! Good luck mate! Look forward to seeing the new car! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Welcome! Good looking car you got – Love the colour and wheel combo
  9. Castle hill have quoted 100 for resonator delete. But they are pretty booked. Performance exhaust in northmead quoted 120. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks for all the help guys! Appreciate it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Just bought my Meg last month. Loving every drive! Been on the forum for some time and been reading up to just make sure I was making the right choice (never owned a French car) and also what options to consider. But zero regrets! Got the leather buckets, glass roof and bi-xenons! Definately looking to do the mid box delete - any good recommendations in the castle hill area? Also looking to upgrade the speakers - don't want to spend too much, and I have the sat Nav, so I can't do the HU upgrade that everyone recommends. I have an old Rockford 4 channel amp. So i'm hoping to use that and add new speakers? Recommendations of speakers and someone to fit them would be great! Also any recommendations on mechanics in Sydney? My car has been serviced with Collier automotive in Granville. Seems good and has done a great job with the car so far. Any feedback would be great! Last but not least. When's the next Sydney cruise????? Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
