  1. Looks good, enjoy. The graphitied building provides a great backdrop.
  2. As mentioned by @chuckovskithere are a number of posts in M3 about how to repair the handles. Also look out for threads on installing a door pull by the likes of @Safetyman and there was one maybe by @Matt205 where they purchased a cover for the hole in the door card from I think Porsche to give a professional finish. A great option for the Megs heavy doors. Many Sydney owners also use Renotech, from my reading of many of the posts on here they are the go to workshop in Sydney for any problems.
  3. Good to know it’s a Q to ask when having issues.
  4. Not worried about the HP, run my AC continuously, just checking veracity of @lachlan8 statement for M3 and in turn 182. Does anyone know if what @Alan M said he had read is correct?
  5. Is this a thing on M3? And if Y does it differ to
  6. My 250 Cup Trophee was built and delivered early 2012. Not too much later they switched to 265 with red trim colours, shiny door pulls etc similar to the Carsales add above.
  7. @havingfunThat Car Play option looks interesting https://audiotechdirect.com/pba-re8773m-android-10-0-gps-radio-for-renault-megane-mk3/

Things like this shows who is running Renault in Perth, I’ve seen many others pop up plus there has been some discussion on servicing costs etc.

Just try a couple of the aggregator sites when you type in transport car Sydney to Perth, they will give you a mix of road and ship options. Ultimately I got the best price going direct by phone to McPhee Transport whose Perth pickup yard is in Bibra Lake, their excess on insurance was also lower than others I approached. Looks like the RB8 is in Newcastle/Sydney so may be worth getting prices from both locations. I know Wollongong is cheaper than Sydney but don’t know about Newcastle. 🤞the seller is happy to do you the odd favour and you can agree on a price.

Just moved a car from Vic to WA. Had to go though roadworthy. Check DOT website for what must be shown on receipt etc eg “Paid in Full” https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/license-a-vehicle-new-to-wa.asp. Pay $29 for 24 hour permit for purposes of Registering. Get vehicle inspected, pay rego etc and make stamp duty election (pay at time of rego or later) and you are done. If the car is in good nick (your pre purchase inspection by say Renotech will ensure it is) it will fly through inspection. Interstate move by ship was cheapest (incl insurance so no need to pay comprehensive insurance until you pick up to Rego). Delivery however can be slow so case of how big a hurry you are in but no stone damage etc on way over. You can also get permits and drive it across but WA doesn’t give you a lot of leeway to run on this on arrival. In VIC was unable to transfer Rego into a WA residents name as non state resident, think NSW will be similar. Also know someone relocating from Sydney to WA bringing in a car registered in their name, this also had to go over pits but because in their name had a grace period. Hope this helps You will love the RB8, at 48K it’s just run in. Also check on this forum for contact of others in WA running M3RS for recommendations for servicing etc rather than using Dealerships.

With low km Timing belt on RB8 would be changed based on time. Theoretically in 2021 or early 2022, make sure this has been done, if not reduce any offer to offset. Get owner to cancel rego in NSW and claim back any unexpired rego to offset price. More than likely it has been serviced in Sydney by one of the above so quality maybe known. Steeves shown look to be in relatively good shape, can’t see Drivers bolster in any of the shots.

See here for different specs. Personally think the Xenons and Recaros are worth having. No reversing Camera on 250 which can be a pain depending on where you have to park as Steeves easy to mark (I live on a dark narrow curved granite kerbed street so reverse parallel park). Confirm Satnav in 250 is a waste of space. I personally reckon pre face lift 265 are the sweet spot as you can get all the good kit.
  13. Thanks to all for your input. It takes a bit to get your head around something other than same state buy/sell. Unfortunately can’t drive across at the moment so best option was shipping on McPhee. Would have loved the opportunity for a one way run as I believe the side trips to the coast etc are really rewarding. Have now worked thru WA permits which are essentially only for purposes of registration with a 48 hour expiry and have a viable option. I will talk to VicRoads tomorrow to see if worth changing current plan to purchase and de-register after dropping at the shippers yard (removes need for permit and cover note). Freight cost is inclusive of insurance, so only need cover note and permit for WA leg.
  14. Hoping the guys in WA can help. Looking at buying a car in VIC for my nephew in WA. Looking at freight costs will probably move by sea but looking for guidance on rego, insurance etc. Seller is happy to sell registered vehicle with VIC plates which will make movements easier to boat in VIC and to workshop then Licensing Centre in Perth. (I will need to check with VicRoads if he can claim back unused portion of rego or if this option is only available to the Seller) Is this the best way to go? With insurance does anyone know from experience if my nephew have any issues getting insurance when on VIC plates to cover it between purchase and registration in WA? Any thing else we should do or consider to make this as easy as possible?
  15. To my knowledge all 98 in Brisbane is imported and the cargo split across the companies. This means the only difference is the additive injected at the time of loading into the truck for delivery. If you purchased from a large Viva/Shell site then you can be assured of the quality of the fuel.
