  1. Stock pads on my Megane squeaked like crazy and was very loud. I couldnt drive with windows down cos the high pitch squeal was too much for me. It's a pretty common problem.
  2. This should help https://aerpro.com/vehicles/renault/renault-megane-2004-2009 https://www.elite-electronics.com.au/Car_Accessories/Steering_Wheel_Interface/Renault_Clio_Laguna_Megane_Steering_Wheel_Harness_Aerpro_CHRN7C edit: I see you are in Adelaide, these guys are local https://www.ministryofbass.com.au/aerpro-chrn7c-control-harness-for-renault-iso-patch-lead.html
  3. well at least there is plenty of room in the back for spare race tyres and enough towing capacity for a car trailer. Awaits update on purchase of Clio 182..
  4. pretty sure we only got the cup chassis in Oz.
  5. my 265 was the first FWD car I have owned and I had to adjust to the lift off over steer. Not a huge adjustment but the first time you are mid corner and lift of the pedal can take you by surprise if you're not expecting it.
  6. belts every 4 years or 60k. Approx $1500 inclusive of a regular service. This was quoted by an Adelaide Renault dealer. Brake pads are not expensive and you can pick them up from Brakes Direct for about ~$80 a pair. Of course you can always up-spec for more coin. If you need front and rear brake pads plus belts I would budget something in the region of $1800, plus or minus a few bucks Rotors are hard to say as it would depend on the pad and how aggressive the current owner has been and whether or not they have been machined at all. DBA 4000 series (non slotted) can be bought for $180/rotor for fronts and $120/rotor for rears.
  7. Just pull. I did mine just by pulling. Did you buy from dealer? My knob came with instructions and im 99% certain it is a hard pull straight up.
  8. Yep, as above. I have a Trophy+ and it has the standard leather with electric seat adjustment and heated seats.
  9. I had heated seats in my E46 and really liked it on the lowest setting. However, I cant say the same for the Meg. I find even the lowest setting in the Meg to be too hot, even on the coldest July mornings.
  10. Nice. I have the same model except with the natural finish Steevs. Thanks for the photos, I have been thinking about painting the steevs black as I have always liked black wheels on white cars. Cheers.
  11. Sounds about right. There are currently 4 Trophy R's on carsales through dealers for around $40k. From memory they all have reasonably low km's.

    Squeaky Noise

I've only ever had squeaking from the drivers seat (non recaro) going over bumps. I've adjusted the seat and seem to have found a sweet spot where it doesnt squeak anymore.
  13. this looks pretty decent http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Renault-Megane-2011/SSE-AD-4059498/?Cr=1 this one looks nice, the upload of what looks like Gumtree pictures is a little odd.. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Renault-Megane-2011/SSE-AD-4139402/?Cr=1 this one could be worth a look. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Renault-Megane-2011/SSE-AD-4175611/?Cr=0
  14. SA. Went for a little cruise last night through the hills. Acceleration in this thing is intoxicating.
  15. Hi all Long time BMW owner, first time Renault owner saying hello. Picked up an RS 265 Trophy+ today. It's a 2013 and has a shade over 20k on the clock. Coming from an '85 318i then a '03 imported 316i sedan its a real change to finally have a car with some power... and to be back to a manual is a god send. Looking forward to long term ownership of current and future RS machines.. will probably pick up another 5 spd manual E30 at some stage as well, man I miss that car. Obligatory picture
