Drive one first. I was all geared up to buy one and then I drove it and hated it. Doesn't sound as good as the 595s (multi air instead of t jet), ride is crashy, cockpit very tight and the way it just sort of boosts and then it's all over very quickly, almost like a diesel - to me that's not the nature I want in a light roadster.

Titanium Grey can look very blue tinged depending on the light. I wouldn't say it's bad or good it just is. The GT I test drove didn't have a HUD and I don't remember this being an option on any Aus megane even RS. I think the very last year (2018?) of GTs in Australia may have had Carplay/Android auto support but the RS definitely does. You might be able to flash it with new firmware from overseas but your local Renault dealer will be as useless as mammaries on a bull. Don't own one, but I find most cars with a Dual Clutch to be a bit of a pain in their most aggressive setting if being used as an auto. From memory the GT was the same and was very happy tootling along in normal mode as an auto, and the more aggressive map was fun if using the paddles and having a go.

A 265 Trophy+ with Recaros, a 265 Trophy 8:08 or a Red Bull RB8. Alcantara recaros only in Phase II, and then no Xenons in any spec.

Nice one. Great mechanical spec although you'll miss the Recaros. Id say don't bother about the stripes, always thougt they looked a bit gash.

Just get them painted black all over. Or just get the red painted bits done black. They're actually quite pleasant wheels just with an awful colour scheme.

Why would he have to buy the car back if the insurance won't cover it anyway? Surely insurance company just says 'so long sucker' and leaves you with the twisted mess. OP: there are no doubt valuable and salvageable parts of your car - especially given its likely to have low kms. The problem is more that the 280 wasn't a huge seller and also isn't that old so the parts market wouldnt be anywhere near that of a Meg 3 or Clio 2/3. Anyway, worth a shot.

Yeah much bigger digital dash and larger portrait infotainment.
