  1. Hi Please correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that Renault cars devalue quickly after purchase from new. I am wondering why that would be the case - assuming my facts are correct? I trust I got this right, but I calculated the following percentage losses of value from purchase price: 2008 R26 = 42 per cent golf GTI = 30 per cent 2009 R26 = 50 per cent golf GTI = 33 per cent It may be the sample above is unrepresentative. But I would be interested to hear the views of member as to why Renault cars don't seem to hold their value. cheers
  2. Hi thanks for the offer. I want to have a good look at the before I make a decision. I also have to consider the views of my wife. So I will get back to you. Cheers
  3. Hi I am based in Brisbane. I did consider at one stage buying a Clio, but I gave up due to frustration with the dealer. I would be interested in knowing what sort of experience other buyer have had. cheers
  4. Hi thanks for the advice. I am booked in for a test drive when the RSM arrives at the dealer. By the way, how good are the dealers? I have heard that they are not the easiest to deal with. Any views cheers
  5. Hi I am considerating buying a Megane 250 cup. I had a Golf GTi Mark 5 but it wasn't really suitable for the odd track day. I now have an Evo 9, which is awesome, but my wife doesn't like driving it; hard to park. I am thinking that the 250 cup might be the solution: something for her to drive around in the city and suitable for me to punt around the track once a month. I would be interested in the view of members on this matter. I have also heard the Renault has a below average build quality and it is not uncommon for owner of new cars to return them to the dealer to get them fixed. I would also be interested in the views of members on this matter as well. cheers
