    Hi to all

    Welcome, and great choice!
  2. I suspect you will find there isn't a specific RHD master for the 197. Is the Reservoir on the PAX side in a Clio 3m

    Hi to all

He's probably referring to me, apologies in advance..... Welcome, wise and noble choice!

    Kangoo woe

Same engine as 1.2 Clio and Megane? Might be more plentiful in a different model.
  5. Oh, and Exhaust, res delete is the best simple option. That aside it's a very personal choice, the F4RT isn't a glorious sounding motor, most aftermarket options sound like crap too me, just loud and droney. I suspect after the honeymoon period of a few weeks of WOT pulls most would happily go back to stock with the res delete.
  6. Focal upgrade for Audio is the simplest and probably smartest option. If you're an Android user, enabling Android Auto on the stock R-Link is very worthwhile for media and navigation. I personally think Intercooler is a waste of effort, even with a tuned car, stock one is relatively small but effective, also doesn't block the radiator like most aftermarket ones do.
  7. Renotech for sure, bread and butter stuff for them, they will best advise on what's needed.
  8. Looks like a cracker! Great find, not that many good ones left! I would check the seat mount bolts, access is from under the car under two rubber grommets on the outer and tucked up near the exhaust on the inner. Not sure on the top mounts, worth checking the springs are seats correctly as well though.
  9. Lovely, welcome Michael, always great to have new Renault converts!
  10. Plus one for shipping costs, haven't bought anything in years due to shipping prices. To add I regularly buy bits from Europe and shipping costs are fine from most other suppliers, Demon Tweeks out of the UK included. Not sure a local warehouse facility is entirely realistic, but easy enough to look at alternative shipping vendors, clearly the current one isnt competitive. DHL from Estonia is reasonable, Parcelforce from the UK is who DT use.
  11. Welcome mate! I think you'll find it's relatively active here, unless you are looking for social drives every other weekend I guess. In terms of experienced advice, long term, multi vehicle ownership, I suspect you'll be hard pressed to find anything that comes close. Love a white Trophy!

I thinks I'll stay out of colour debates! 😄 dig the black, no need to shout!
  13. Will be light years better than the RE003.
  14. Don't go 15' for the road, extra sidewall takes a little sharpness out of the steering. Standard issue cup suspension is as good as anything for road IMO, I don't think it needs changing in any way unless you are looking for laptime which may not mean anything to you. Good wheel alignment on fresh factory struts, bushes and other perishable bits, done. Good rubber essential.
  15. Totally wrong section, not sure how this is supporting the forum. Pop this in the for sale section With Price as per forum rules.
  16. 255 is a lot of tyre for a Meg 3. Seems a little overkill even with a tune.
  17. Kumho make a decent tyre, would go there upper end over the RE003.
  18. Yeah, there's better options for same or not alot more money.
  19. I love to double de-clutch just to freak people out. That look of absolute confusion as they try and understand what is going on.
  20. A quick look at both those videos was interesting, suspect they are quite different in terms of tune etc so comparing laptimes on the basis of heel/toe or not is totally irrelevant. You can see that Louis is having to be very gentle and very slow with his clutch release, which is fine (and correct if you refuse to learn h/t), but, when the clutch is engaged there is zero drive going to the wheels and the car is effectively coasting out of gear, at corner entry this is far from optimal and detracts from balance and grip, it will affect ultimate laptime. I have no doubt he would be faster if he learned to h/t. Emir desperately needs a clutch footrest! 😂
  21. Right, that triggered me! 😂 It absolutely makes a difference, most importantly in a road car it vastly extends the life of all the mechanical components by taking a huge amount of load out of the drivetrain, even in normal day to day driving. It also has a huge bearing on chassis balance, a great (perhaps extreme) example is a drifter using a clutch kick to purposely upset the balance and grip to initiate a slide. If it made no difference why does every single automated manual box have a blip on the downshift that is finely tuned to ensure the optimal rev match? If it made no difference why would they do it in F1 as it will technically use slightly more fuel and engine revs, both of which are minutely managed at that level. It is a skill that takes patience and practice to learn, people try a few times and give up. It might take months to get it right and years to master, but please do not dismiss it by saying "someone" reckons it makes no difference. It's OK to admit you can't do it, but don't give up after trying for 5 minutes. A fast laptime is not the only measure of driver skill. To make you feel bad, I taught my wife to do it as just something you have to do when you drive a manual, she learned manual in about 8hrs, and was heel/toeing competently after a week or so. My Son was taught the same way, and knows no different. Take the time, put in the work, your car (and lap times) will thank you.
  22. I have a car that ticks all those boxes except for the books and service history. Personally my concern level is pretty low about history/books on ~20 year old car.
  23. I remember we used to have a contributor on here that did a full HID retrofit on a car, as in bought a kit with proper projector housings and cut and shut the projector housings into the original halogen headlights, great idea (I would consider doing this myself), totally illegal as well. Same contributor was equally adamant about LED globes causing thousands of deaths, blinding the baby harp seals in Antarctica, causing the hole in ozone layer, and being a right wing conspiracy to make the rich richer whilst the poor uphold the virtue of the world by continuing to use halogens. Somehow LED globes are illegal, but the HID retrofit, whilst technically also illegal was, somehow, less illegal. Wonder what ever happened to them? And yes, LED's are illegal, but that could never be the end of the discussion could it?
