Hi ladies and gents; I am a new member from Melbourne. I've previously owned a Clio 182 from new which was an awesome car. I regularly travel to Europe and lease cars for the duration. Last year I had a Clio RS 200 which re-ignited my passion for hot hatches. As a consequence I've just purchased a secondhand Clio 3 RS, Angel and Demon edition out of Sydney. It has done minimal K's, has a lot of mods and is in immaculate condition. The best part was driving it back to Melbourne which required a stop every few kilometres so I could accelerate back up to freeway speed and listen to the Akrapovic exhaust crackling out the back. I am an old Mini racer and the handling is awesome and the steering sublime. This car just puts a smile on my face.....! I've owned many, many cars and have also just taken delivery of a new Audi RS3 which is simply a computer on wheels in comparison. I previously owned a couple of Maserati Gransport's and while they were impressive grand tourer's with an engine note to die for, they can't match the fun of the Renault.

Bought a Clio RS182 Cup around 6 months ago as a little fun toy to have on the side and it gives me a giggle whenever I go out for a blat. Had to do the timing belt as soon as I bought it (turned out it had never been done and was down to the canvas - finding out after I had driven it from Melbourne to Sydney of course) but other than the whole palava with rear wheel bearings it's been cruisy motoring. According to everyone who's been under it its in good shape and the engine is making healthy power.
Bought it with some pretty scratched alloys, so it's now sitting on a set of anthracite 2118s wrapped in RE003s. The only other mod being a KTR intake to give it a little more voice.
Joining up just looking to talk cars, as well as receive advice for possible mods to come. Following the herd and on the hunt for a Cupra R front lip, and I think the Whiteline Swaybar are possibly next on the list.
This is me and the car on a little photoshoot of mine, shortly after someone poured a whole bucket of water on themselves at 1am on a cold July night

So after many months of procrastination I finally bit the bullet and ordered my new Megane RS275 Cup Premium.
I picked it up just after Christmas and so far loving every km of it! Its Pearl White with the Panoramic Sunroof.
After having a break from track capable cars its nice to be back into something performance orientated.
I'm Brisbane based and looking forward to joining the group drives, Nebo and track days. Once I get a few thousand km's on it I'll start looking into the modifications for track.
On that note, slim line plates ordered to tidy that front/rear up

Hello all, looks like you’ve got a great thing going here.
I’ve just bought a 2014 Megane RS 265 after a long hunt. They’re sensational cars, and quite good value on the used market these days.
I've been lucky enough to drive quite a few third-generation Meganes over the years – pretty much everything from the non-Cup 265 Limited Edition all the way up to the mental Trophy R – in a few interesting places. A rental Renault at the Nurburgring earlier this year sealed the deal, and we started looking for a car at home.
I started out in search of a fairly basic car with Recaros and no sunroof before my other half shook things up by being adamant it had to have heated seats and a reversing camera. The black machine here fits the bill, it is a 2014 Megane RS 265 Cup + with leather comfort seats, bi-xenons, 19s, front parking sensors etc. We got a strong deal, trading in our VW for the new machine.
Took it for a long drive at dawn the next day, leaving Sydney for the Royal National Park, Sea Cliff Bridge, Macquarie Pass, Jamberoo Pass, Kangaroo Valley and a couple of quiet roads near Bowral and Mittagong. I’m in love.
I’m a member of the Bathurst car club, so the plan is to do the odd hillclimb or track day with the car.
Looking forward to the journey, thanks for having me on board.

Hey guys / girls,
Just picked this little Clio up a couple of weeks ago. Needed some work but with new belts, rear rotors and bearings she's now running nicely up and down the hills. Most likely going to keep it stock (aside from any other vintage Elf stickers I can source) but looking forward to having something fun to drive over the summer. Already picked up plenty of tips that helped me with a dodgy AC servo gear so looking forward to meeting more of you nice people on here in the future!

I am back after a almost 2 year break after selling my Clio R27.
This time with a RS 265 Trophee + and I couldn't be happier. The moment I took off in the test drive is like something so familar and I instantly addicted to the car.
Look forward to future meet ups and learning more about this model.

I've been on the forums for years but not active in a while so thought I should say hi.
I traded my old 182 cup for a nice new flame red 2014 RS clio cup premium at the end of last year... it's taken a while but I'm really starting to enjoy the new car. It'll never match the go-kart like chuckability of the 182 but it has it's own character and fun.
It's my first ever NEW car, and first turbo, first auto. I like the newness, and the turbo. The gearbox I can live with (in sport manual mode). Beginning to look at the first mods... hoping to start with a decent sounding exhaust.
If you see us on the road, say hi!
Edit: not sure how to rotate my attachment, photo clearly displays the huge amount of grip twisty#2 has!

I sold the 197 back in Feb, and haven't actually had a car for the last 6 months. The push bike has been great, but has it's limitations.
I'm still waiting on delivery (And subsequently the build number), but I should be taking delivery of my new pearl white 275 Trophy in the coming week!
I always thought I'd be back in a RS one day, but didn't realise it would be so soon!

Thanks all, I will be picking her up this Thursday. Will post some photos then!
PS - are there any unwritten rules when on the forum?
Lots of rules, but most important is not to mention the word Toy@t@...
Some on the forum have made a connection between Lotus and Toy@t@, while others have not. Provides endless entertainment to those of us that are easily amused...
Second most important is that all updates on your vehicle must be accompanied by pictures, because we all can never get enough pictures of RS cars. Failure to do this may result in the mods sin binning you for a week, because we are VERY serious about our pictures of RS cars.. (I am joking here of course, but did I mention we like pictures of RS cars...)
Third rule is if you want to make wildly, crazy and outlandish off beat posts with your own blend of wisdom that only Mensa candidates can understand (as the rest of us are just not that bright), we have a thread especially for that, which is pretty much dominated by the member that it is named in honour of... I'm sure you will find it? If not, Wade will certainly help get you acquainted with the thread...
You can see I am just joking, of course...
The forum is a very friendly bunch of folks that are willing and happy to help out (in both the virtual world and in real life) and offer advice and assistance on lots of fronts, and it's a very good place to be part of.
Enjoy the forum and your new car. Very nice choice..
The final unwritten rule (I didn't actually realise there were so many until I started listing them out for you) is that at some point you will need to also buy a Clio.. Sorry, but you just will, so best start preparing for that reality now I say...
